6-day park hoppers. Which parks need 2 days?

Based on the ages I would agree with most.
Mk and ep 2 days for sure
I don't agree with everyone though that ak is 1 day.
With younger kids there is lots more stuff they like to do vs adults and it closes earlier so you can run out of time fast

Definitely MK and EPCOT. Our teenagers are girls and they love to shop in the countries of EPCOT. We love shopping in Mexico the best. It is also nice to try different foods from all the countries. When we stay in the EPCOT hotels - our DDs go practically every day for a little while - even if it is just to get fish and chips in the UK. Park hopping is great. Enjoy!

Just curious what your plan is. Since you have park hoppers are you really planning some "full" days where you stay in one park all day or are you meaning which parks should you schedule FP+ for two days (but you don't really intend to stay in the park the whole day)?

We always get PHs and always do two parks (sometimes we get to three) every day. We never spend an entire day in a park. We don't consider any time wasted because my family always needs a break during the day, so hopping isn't any more time than leaving and returning to the same park.

If you're just selecting your "2 day parks" to figure out which ones to get FPs for, I would just select based on the rides. For example, my family never spends much time in AK and we don't particularly like HS, but those might wind up being the parks we schedule two days of FPs in. (We may just go there for 2-3 hours, ride the FP rides and leave.) We will wind up spending significantly more time in Epcot (often half of our trip or more), but I don't see a need to book two days worth of FPs there.

Definitely Epcot is a 2 day park. Its just so massive in size. We never get it done in 2 days. We always take 2 days for MK no matter what just because we have to go back and ride everything again. I agree with the poster who suggested you go to one park each day and then leave the last day open. Then you can travel back to whatever park was your family's favorite and do everything you like again! :)

Just back from 6 days no hoppers, 2 adults, kids ages 8, 6 & 3. We did 2 at MK and 2 at Epcot and 1 at others. Still not enough time! :) But I'd say Epcot and MK would be the best use of 2 days each.

Epcot and MK for sure!! We love spending time in the WS and MK cannot be done in one day, IMO. :)

MK for sure two days! AK one. But HS and Epcot can go either way. I did all the rides and met a lot of characters at Epcot but didn't explore. Now I'm doing two days there to fix that! HS has a lot of shows, if you want to see them and ride rides I'd do two. I have to two there for Star Tours and TSMM. I can't get enough of those two rides. I LOVED them!

You've got 6 days.........so plenty of time, you would think :duck:. How many times you visit each park is very subjective. The suggestion above is solid, and in your plan you have 1 full day at MK and then 2 evenings.......so I think you're covered there. You have an 18 yr. old whose never been, you might want to get their opinion on what they want to see. You may find your young one may fall in love with RnRC or TOT which may cause you to go to HS (new name TBD :teeth:) more than 1 day. There's also so much to do at WDW beyond the parks.........on our last trip we did the Segway Tour at Ft. Wilderness which takes up a morning and is a ton of fun. So much available you'll find 6 days isn't nearly enough time.

When we visit we usually do MK and EP for 2 days and then 1 day AK and 1 day HS that leaves a day for the pool or water park and one "just wing it" day.

Regardless of what you choose wishing you a magical vacation!!!!

We do every park visit in half day segments. We always do a park in the morning and a different park or activity in the evening. We don't like to spend too much time in one place, and the parks have a "morning feel" and "evening feel". I don't like the afternoon feel at any park. Hot and crowded... It also gives us a chance to "come back" if we have missed something, or ride something again if we have the urge. It's not as exciting to us to reride something in the same day. The second visit to the park is more relaxing for us too.

That said, in our upcoming 6 day trip we will have 3 Epcot segments, 4 Magic Kingdom segments, 2 Hollywood studios segments, and 1 animal kingdom segment. We are two adults, age 28, who go to the world on a yearly basis.

You have hoppers so it's fairly simple
ak is never open as long as the other parks
so ak day you can hop over and finish anything at dhs that you missed

That means 2 days mk and 2 days Epcot and maybe one of those days hop back to ak if you missed a show you wanted to see

as adult travelers, we always have hoppers. We end up at EPCOT probably 3-4 evenings of a 6 day trip. The other places will be for fireworks. EPCOT is just a great place to be late afternoon/evening with all the food, beverage, and entertainment.
DHS is certainly 1 day at most since half of it is shut down. HOWEVER, there are still a lot of shows to see and attractions to experience. AK is often done by mid day, even though that is our favorite place and is often a 2 visit park.

My 18 year-old is a girl and she will want to look around in the shops, I'm sure. The hubby and my son will not....they can sample some foods and drinks while we shop! Excellent plan.

We plan on staying for a full day at DHS, a full day at MK, 2 days now at epcot, and however long it takes to get everything done at AK. When we park hop, it will be to head over to MK in the evenings from the other parks. Yes, my question also involved the fast passes, because I wasn't sure whether we should keep our fast passes for Epcot and DHS for additional days or change them to a different park. Thanks for your reply! It helps in making a decision.

Thanks! I am hoping for a little magic too!

Lots of fun and different ideas! But I do see a majority. Keeping all that in mind, we have almost a solid plan, with 1 day in question, but we will firm it up throughout the week as we go! Thanks again for the advice. Only 5 more sleeps until we get there!

I'm thinking DHS is more of a one day park these days.

Only with a whole lost of down time. But, it is a little over a half day, probably 3/4 of a day.
