Hello Friends! I'm new here and this is my first thread. We will be at the Fort October 25- November1 2019 for the first time camping. We are all adults over 25 (my sister and her husband, boyfriend and I and parents) and it is my brother in laws first time in Disney. We are driving from Detroit to Orlando! Please let us know any fun things to do, your favourite restaurants, or any fun tips. We are doing MNSSHP and planning on staying at the fort on Halloween day. We are planning on DDP as well.

Thank you! Anything is appreciated! Also we are Canadian :)

PS. We have done Disney multiple times, just looking for a new way to see it!

Hoop de do!!! It is loads of fun and tons to eat!!!
Also the chip and dale sing along is fun even with all adults.they show a Disney movie afterwards and there is always a list in these boards so you know what’s playing while your there. We also enjoy watching fireworks over Bay lake and waiting for the electrical water pageant. You can rent a boat, golf cart, or bikes. There is so much the fort has to offer you never need to leave lol. I’m sure you will have a wonderful time

Trails End is great place to eat. We hit them 2 or 3 times every trip. Tinkerjo is right Hoop Dee Do Review is the best dining option on property yes the jokes are beyond corny but we love them. Electric Water Pageant is another not to be missed activity while at Fort w We tend to get take out from P & J's and have a picnic while we watch.

:welcome:

Be sure to save time to explore the Fort during the day and during the night.

The Fort is great family fun for Halloween but as "adults" if you are into a "scary" Haunted House type of Halloween event Universal Studios "Halloween Horror Nights" is the best in the country. Enjoy all the mild kiddy family Disney stuff but for a chain saw buzzing, "Stranger Things" Haunted House, adult beverages, make you jump out of your skin and break out laughing fun head off site to Universal Studios. It's the best ADULT, no kids under 13, event EVER! We enjoy Disney's ambiance but Universal has the real BOO's!

I had a big list of fun Fort things, but then I saw you were Canadian and I wasn't sure if it would be the same... :D Sorry, couldn't resist. I have quite a few Canadian friends and the stories they tell of silly comments US citizens make to them.

Others have already covered the main places to eat. Make sure to take the boats to and from. The MK boat is great! Relaxing and a lot more fun than the buses. We like to take the "little" boat (resort launches) over to WL and Contemporary. Restaurants at WL and Contemp are all good. We'll Chef Mickey may not be "good" but it is a fun character meal. We like to shop the different resorts too. The Fort Trading Posts have some unique Fort things and the Contemporary has some neat shops with higher end things you don't see everywhere else. DW usually has to come home with a new purse from the Contemporary shop. If you have been reading the Camping Forum long, you'll hear about "looping". This is renting a golf cart and riding around the loops at the Fort checking out the other campers and site decorations. Regardless of the time of year, we like to decorate our sites. Halloween and Christmas time are the most elaborate, but there are always fun things to see.

Definitely Hoop De Doo. If you like to have fun while dining/drinking, Skipper Canteen is great. If you like it a little off the wall, check out Trader Sam's Grog Grotto in the Polynesian.
Totally agree with @team bradfield, except for me, dropping the "adult" begins as soon as I light up the diesel to head to The Fort. LOL :rotfl2:
Oh and by the way :welcome:

Hope you are having a magical visit. Please report back and let us know all the fun new things you discovered to do. Never know, maybe we missed some-LOL! Happy Halloween-BOO!

We are doing Hoop de doo for sure! We did it last year and had a blast! We are also planning to go to MNSSHP, so any fun tips are appreciated! Yes we all enjoy drinking ( Except mom.) So if you have any interesting bar crawls or anything during food and wine fest we'd love to hear! We're looking more for things to do on Halloween, since we're definitely staying out of the parks LOL.
My sisters is a professional cosplayer so we our looking to cram in as much halloween at as many places. My other question is has anyone done the BOMA tour? We're very interested. Thanks for your help!
