6/7/15 Any quick questions about the Wonder Alaskan cruise before we disembark in the morning

Just seeing if anybody has any questions about the navigator room or the cruise before we disembark in the morning. I will do my best to answer them this evening.

We had a great time by the way except for the rain and rain and more rain.

Was there a Character breakfast? Was it the traditional Mickey & Friends group, or Disney Jr characters? Were you assigned to a seating time? Or did you pick up tickets for it?

Are there any Tervis Alaska mugs/cups? If so, what size and colors? (I want to bring handles.)

What was the overall condition of the ship? We were on in November and she looked very run down, carpets were stained by the elevators, rust on the railings on deck 4. I know they gave the rooms a facelift but how was the rest of the ship? TIA

Our room was like new and I couldn't have been happier with it. Topside of the ship is definitely showing it's age. Some areas of it looked like the only thing holding it together was the 355 coats of paint. It looked like about 50% of the deck had been replaced on deck 9. All and all I went expecting the worse and was very happy with what we ended up finding. It's truly a very special ship and I can see why so many people have complimented it.

Rotation PTAPTAP. I will see what I can find out about the character breakfast at dinner tonight. We did not attend it.

There was Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto there. There were 2 different seating times and it was still possible to get seated if somebody cancelled, you just had to check with the manager. Our server said he wasn't aware of tickets but to be honest I don't see how they could keep track if there wasn't.

I'm not sure what you mean by Tervis mugs. Could you elaborate and I will look in the shop for you.

Yes the chat function does work although we did not utilize it ourselves.

They are plastic drinking glasses that are made by a company called Tervis. The ships carry them and in the past they have had specific ones for Alaska.

We tried to go to the Frozen party but only lasted for about 20 minutes of it. It was raining and really cold. I felt so sorry for the little girls that were all dressed up for the party. It didn't start until 9:45 which to me was a bit late even on vacation for kids. It looked like it would be a great party if the weather would cooperate though. That was on Juneau night that we had that party.
By the way there is a game on the ship now based on hints from Frozen. It was really fun to play. Sort of like the mid ship detective agency game on the big ships.

so the frozen party was on friday? for some reason i was anticipating it to be thursday (skagway). was there also a toy story party on friday afternoon?

On the Member Cruise Frozen night was on the night of the Skagway port day.
