6:45 'Ohana, possibility to see fireworks?

While making a more detailed itinerary for our trip in March I realized that the day of our 6:45 ADR at 'Ohana Wishes is at 8:00. I didn't plan it when I made the reservation, just a happy *potential* accident. Any chance that we'd still be there to see the fireworks?

If Wishes is at 8, I can't see how you wouldn't be there to see the fireworks. You won't be seated until after 7:00, most likely. We always take at least an hour there for dinner and aren't particularly slow eaters.

As the PP said, it's unlikely that you'd be finished with dinner by the time fireworks starts. 'Ohana can be one of the faster places to eat, but they are often running behind schedule in terms of seating. I generally allow about 90 minutes to dine at 'Ohana. That being said, not many of the tables from 'Ohana have a view of the fireworks and there is no guarantee that you'll be able to request a table with a view when you check-in.

Rather, you can request whatever you want, but you likely won't get it. 'Ohana seats late, and they won't let you wait for a particular 'view.'

As the others have said it is unlikely you will have a table with a view. I would try for an earlier ADR to be finished with dinner and head to view Wishes from the beach after dinner

Oh you will be there, but I would not count on seeing the fireworks. 'Ohana generally runs behind, so at that time of night I would plan on not being seated on time. Once seated you would have to be one of the lucky ones offered a window seat.

If Wishes is important, then I would suggest trying to change the ADR time. If it would be just an added bonus, then see what happens.

While it is unlikely you will have a table with a view, that doesn't mean you won't be able to see the fireworks. We actually planned Ohana for a Wishes view a few years ago, because our youngest hated loud noises. We wanted to see the show without the noise. We were not seated at a window, but did have view of the windows. They line the whole wall. We could see fine for what we wanted to see.

I say keep your ADR and just enjoy whatever pixie dust may come your way.

On our last trip (2012), we had 7:50 adr for Ohana, and fireworks were at 9:30 that night. We were lucky and got a window seat, and we were still eating when they went off.

Another option would be to change your reservation by a little bit (if you are able to - I do realize how popular O'Hana is) and plan to head out to the beach after eating to watch from there.

We were lucky enough to get a window seat for Wishes last time we ate at 'Ohana, but I'd still rather watch from the beach
