Btw Jayde's name is pronounced Jade; lots of people like to sound it out to Jay-Dee. I had to be unique ~ any need to get everything personalized.

It is about $200 a night. I think you have a better deal with the Swan and Dolphin. I am going to watch if they come out with any "room only" discounts on it in the next few weeks. If they do, I will let you know.

No, just the room. The only difference is you could use ME.

Its about $195 (through travel websites) but with my AAA discount it is $175 (only $20 but that's a couple of drinks!)

WELCOME! I am a single parent also of a 14 DS.

I was in a very very abusive marriage but finally had the courage to escape when my son was 6 months old. Therefore my ex has not seen my son since the day I left with him. I also am truely a single parent and I don't get a penny from him. Due to all the abuse, photos, police reports, death threats and attempts the Judge terminated my ex's parental rights therefore causine me to give up any financial support. It is very hard financially. We are basically in hiding - he can't know where will live, work, school...but it is much better than worrying each day or having to wonder if he'll bring him home from a visitation or what he would do to him while he had him...

It is very hard my DS has never seen his father but he knows everything and why the situation is why it is...I have never hidden anything from my DS and we are sooo close, I don't know what I would do without him!

Diane, you are such a strong woman and an awesome mom!

My boys are also without a dad....my husband passed away a little over 3 years ago from colon cancer. I think our boys will have a lot in common and I'm glad they will get to hang out together on this cruise!

Gotcha! Since we were using DCL transfers anyway it works for us to use the Swan & Dolphin. Actually we were going to be paying $70 a person for DCL transfers to and from the hotel...Now we are paying $69 a person and have 4 legs to the trip vs 2...go figure!

POFQ's a really pretty resort! If we were flying in earlier to enjoy DTD, we would consider, but we get in at 11pm, so I'm really liking my $42 Coutyard by Marriott near the airport room rate!

I agree on that one! We arrive at 6AM on the 11th. We already had our plane tickets b4 we booked the cruise. I wish I was just on my moms flights on the red eye on Friday night. We are excited though to stay that the Swan and Dolphin for such a good price.

I just hope I like it there bc we are staying there again for 4 nights after the cruise.

Larry is a wonderful kid because he has a wonderful mother. How brave you are to do what many women can't find the courage to do!
I am sure no matter how scary or hard the great relationship you have with your son has made it all worth it.

Thank You! My son is AWESOME. He is such a great kid, 4.0, President of NJHS, Who's Who Among American Scholars, Gateway Young Achiever...

He misses not having a Dad thank goodness my Dad is around for a father figure.

Kids are cruel, he used to get teased for not having a Dad, so he would tell them that his Dad died in a car accident easier to cover up that way and it shut kids up for the most part. I was shocked the 1st time someone said something to me about his dad dying in a car accident, I was so confused until Larry explained it to me, he made that up on his own.

We have done a lot of cruises with Disney and have had only one other group of people from the dis that could compare with this group! It makse me look forward to the cruise even more.

Is there anyone as confused as I am about the time difference in Cozumel? If I am understanding this correctly the port time is two hours difference that the ship's time or something like that. I am trying to fit Dolphin trip at 3:30p but I can't seem to understand this.

I am going to Naichi Cocum in the AM -anyone else going???

Cozumel is Central time but does not do "Daylight Savings Time". So it is currently "7:53" there. Florida time now is "9:53" Hope this helps.

Our flight is landing around 1:30PM so we will be able to spend the day at DTD. Definitely more than I usually pay for a hotel & not get free breakfast but we have been saving our change for about 2 years plus I am hoping to get a bonus for March, April, & May (which will help but I don't count on it until its in the bank).

Glad I can now just sit back & not worry about flights, hotels, cruises... OH MY!!!
