I'm hoping for some good company at dinner too, if anyone is interested in eating at Main Dining seating 5:30, 5:45 or 6:00 - with a family of 2 (myself/and DS 14) let me know- and we'll see if we can link our reservations together - especially someone with close aged DS or DD but it doesn't have to be...we get along and have fun with everyone!

What's everybody doing this weekend? Anything good? I have a birthday party tomorrow for one of DD's cousins- it is always a huge family event for us to get together. Lots of hyper kids in a big hall!!

I love family get togethers - that should be fun!
Saturday - nothing much.
Sunday - going to Disney on Ice "Wonders of Fantasy" - excited about that. In need of my Disney fix.

We requested late dinner w/large table. We have irregular dinner schedules at home so it doesn't matter what we get. I prefer later since most families w/little ones would probably be requesting early.

Plans for the weekend....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! I will look for magnetic paper (unable to find at my local Walmart). I found some neat graphics on another board & will see if I am capable of individualizing them myself. I have done magnets before but usually just copy them from photobucket & print. Are we allowed to have non-Disney related ones? If not, oh well.. I will have a couple!!!

DD & I are having "discussions" concerning our overnight in Orlando. I decided I really don't want to deal w/a rental car so thinking about staying at one the Disney (value) hotels. AAA has the lowest rates so far. My DD thinks I am planning too much too soon (she is not an advanced planner... I AM!!!) & can not make a decision on where she would like to stay. I told her she has barely 2 months to decide.

I have found magnetic paper at Staples- it was pretty expensive($15- for 5 sheets)- so I didn't buy it then, I think I'm going to get it tonight.

Just paid off the cruise....FINALLY. We cut it close b/c I was waiting for insurance reimbursement from DD's braces.

Now I'm kicking myself for not buying any insurance. DH's father just got news today that they are stopping all of his treatments for his cancer. Nothing is working anymore. The oncologist had made an estimate that the end could come as early as May or June. Needless to say, this is putting a damper on the cruise excitement. Hopefully, this won't be an issue b/c I believe in miracles and I'm praying for one. He has been battling colon cancer for over 5 years now.

I am relieved to have the cruise PAID in FULL!! Now I can start planning a little more.

Anyone know anything about the Rainforest room? Sounds nice & relaxing but there is really no info on the cruise site except to order a 1-day pass. I did view the podcast but doesn't tell you much. I was thinking about ordering a couple passes for me.

Mixed reviews. I would like to try it out - I like saunas (dry saunas more than steam rooms) but I also would like to maybe see if first before I buy a day pass.

As far as insurance, even if you did the DCL insurance, I read on one of the threads that they do not cover PEC's (pre-existing conditions). Check out www.insuremytrip.com They have different plans and some do cover PEC's. We haven't purchased insurance yet, but we will get one thru them. So sorry to hear about your DH's father. My DH's mother is very ill in the ICU in Nashville. DH flew out this morning to see her. Doesn't look good. I'm just waiting to hear word from him.

Hopefully it will work out!! Sending some pixie dust your way!! There are alot of other trip insurance companies to use- you should ask on the main forum page- I know not everyone uses DCL insurance. Good luck!!

Hope things will be OK with your DH's mom. My dad passed away at the end of October- kind of unexpectedly and it's been rough. Not an easy thing to deal with.

We have a regional fair/festival that started yesterday. It has real good food and other vendors selling their stuff. And of course my DS loves the rides. We will going on Sunday.
