6/13/2009 Western on Magic

[Brooklyn]

We will be joining you on this cruise. We just booked today using the military special. Our original plan was to do WDW this whole vacation but when we saw the rates and the fact that it leaves on our DD's birthdays we said "why not"!

This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. We also have our 4th cruise booked for the Westbound Trans Atlantic in 2010.

Currently it will be me, Stephanie, DH, Craig,DD, Brooklyn (turning 8 June 13th),and DD, Madison (turning 4 June 13th). Grandma may be coming too.

We will be @ WDW for 2 days before and 4 days after the cruise since our plane tickets are already bought.

We are from Southern California. DH is a Marine and we will be moving to Virginia this summer.

I think that about covers it. I can't wait to read through this thread and catch up on everything. Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Is anyone interested in a group tea at Palo or group brunch in the private dining room? I have no idea how to book it although I have dined there twice. But if we can get a group of eight or ten to book I will give it a shot.

I organized this for our last cruise. We had a blast doing it! I know we are new to the group we are def up for doing this as a group again! We loved the private room!

Welcome!! Are you guys at Pendleton? DH was a Navy dentist at El Toro. I loved So Cal! He's retired now. Looking forward to meeting another military family!

DH is at the Naval Post Graduate School right now. We still live in SoCal though. We were stationed at Camp Pendleton for 5 years before he went up to Northern California. We love SoCal too! It is bitter sweet leaving for VA this summer but we will make the best of it! I am not looking forward to freezing next winter but we will make the best of it!

Thanks! I know! No one ever believes us! Last year at Disneyland I sware they thought we were lying just to get a few extra tortillas with their birthday buttons! LOL

Right now we are staying @ one of the All Stars for the first 2 days and then Caribbean Beach Pirate Room for the last 4. I am so excited about the cruise I could skip WDW now, LOL

We were @ DL yesterday when I called to change our dates. She said "All Star "something"" and I said I'll take it. Hopefully they mail me something so I know where we are going, LOL

I am waiting until we get there, someone had posted some pages back- a coupon for buy an adult get a child free- but you have to buy the ticket there. Now we only have 1 kid, and it saves us about $10.00. But you would save quite a bit with your three. I printed it out, and don't have the link- maybe whoever did can post the link again.

If you buy on line you can save $ http://www.trolleytours.com/key-west/rates-and-reservations.asp I also hope to see some of the sunset celebration but want to be on the ship for our early dinner seating so I don't know what I am going to do yet.

It made more sense for us since we would have 4 adult rates to pay for the trolley.

It says it starts 2 hours before sunset, so I would presume around 6pm. I presume we need to board the ship around 7pm, so that would give us an hour. We can watch the sunset from the ship's deck.

We are also eating at Topsiders that night- as DH said he wanted to eat somewhere besides the dining rooms at least one night. I love eating in the dining room- so I'm giving him that one night. LOL
