Free is good!!:woohoo::woohoo:

AMEN, SISTA!!! :cool1: Another almost FREE activity is Ft Zachary Taylor park. Its $1.50 pp to get in, free tour of the fort at 12noon and 2pm, and snorkeling too! The ocean floor is a bit jagged there so shoes are recommended. Its run by the Florida park services. Check out both sites - the first has alot of the history, the second has more details about where, how much, and great photos! They also have a cafe there with pretty reasonable food choices!

My kids will LOVE that! Cool! :thumbsup2

What else is a must to see? I know we'll go to the Southernmost Point, want to see the 6 toed cats at Hemmingway's home (no tour though). Are the Butterfly museum and Maritime Treasure museum good? Any other suggestions? Cool restaurants?

Can you see the cats without doing the tour? That's one place I think we will tour, as well as the Mel Fisher's maitime museum. www.melfisher.org
Another one that got good reviews on passporter was the Pirate soul museum.
www.piratesoul.com You can book on your own and do your own pirate scavenger hunt. We are also parasailing thru Fury for $35 pp booking online.www.furykeywest.com Their booth is located right next to where the Magic docks (pier B). There's so much to see and do in Key West, looks like we'll have to come back!:)

That sounds good!! So far I know we're gonna get off of trolley at the Southernmost Point stop and the Blond Giraffe(for key lime pie on a stick). Still researching the stops.:surfweb:

Should we do 1 FE for all of us at one cabin, or make two FE (one for each cabin)?

I've already printed them out.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1...and have been studying them- to figure out the things we're going to do. LOL You guys know I have vacation planning OCD- right?;) I also have a Disney notebook (with color coded dividers)- which DH proceeded to look through last night- all he could do was laugh at me.

Oh I DEF have Vacation Planning OCD. I have been trying today to get all organized for this one! I always have a three ring binder with tabs for everything! My binder for our TA in 2010 is full already...LOL I am currently adjusting our wdw binder to include our cruise now. We had to take our dd's down to the Naval Hospital this AM for follow ups from their surgeries last week and I could not wait to get home to start planning! :rotfl: You are not alone! :thumbsup2

I would make 2. I think both me and my kids get as much joy out of checking our own. Here is a pic of our door last summer, with a nice full FE!... brings back good memories! Oh and yes you can see I LOVE a decorated door! :woohoo:

BIRTHDAYS2008127.jpg

Hummmm, I guess you guys are learning all about me in one post! :rotfl:

How often are these updated? Or are they pretty the same for each cruise destination?

Where was this link found? It is not working for me!!!

I could not get the link to work either... :confused3

We will be joining you on this cruise. We just booked today using the military special. Our original plan was to do WDW this whole vacation but when we saw the rates and the fact that it leaves on our DD's birthdays we said "why not"!

This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. We also have our 4th cruise booked for the Westbound Trans Atlantic in 2010.

Currently it will be me, Stephanie, DH, Craig,DD, Brooklyn (turning 8 June 13th),and DD, Madison (turning 4 June 13th). Grandma may be coming too.

We will be @ WDW for 2 days before and 4 days after the cruise since our plane tickets are already bought.

We are from Southern California. DH is a Marine and we will be moving to Virginia this summer.

I think that about covers it. I can't wait to read through this thread and catch up on everything. Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Welcome. :welcome:

WeLcOmE Brooklyn Family.... can you design my door???

Hope everyone who has been ill are doing much better!! :flower3:

I just received EXCELLENT :cheer2: news... my DD's finals are a day earlier than originally suppose to be SOOO we are flying in on Friday instead of chancing the Sat am flight (would land at 11:25am).
BAD :confused3 news...they only offer a morning flight arriving at MCO around 1125am & most check-ins are not til around 3 or 4ish. Any suggestions of where to stay or what to do until check-in? The last time we flew in a day before it DOWN poured the entire time & spent most of the time at the mall. Thinking about just staying at the airport hotel (Radison?).

Or should I splurge & surprise my DD w/a trip to WDW (she has never been)?

I'd go to WDW! A day is better than none, especially if your DD has never been. If you stay on site, you could use ME to get to WDW and then DCL transfers to the ship and not worry about luggage.

Suggestions on best site to get the VERY BEST rate??

I think I am going to surprise her... she is 16, my only child, & will be going to college shortly.

Go to the codes board or mousesavers.com for discounts. AAA gives discounts and there are some Spring codes out now. You could also try a Disney Travel Agent.

That's great news!! Alot of hotels would let you check in early- but me being a Disney fanatic- I say go to one of the parks!!!
