Stingray City was one of the best experiences of my life- we had a great time, great guide, no weather issues at all. It was awesome- you will love it. The one at CC seemed a little too "contrived"- I don't know if that's the word-but it was to staged. If you've done it, you probably know what I'm talking about.

I know exactly what you are talking about!!! I felt the same way.

I have only been there once for about 4 months. I really did not like it. We were supposed to be going to Coronado but DH got selected for promotion so that made us move to VA. I am thrilled about the promotion so I will take VA.

We were newly dating- so we didn't see alot of sights!

Can someone please try to log onto the Disney Cruise website and tell me if it is working or not. I am about to lose my mind. I am trying to book stuff and it is telling me I can't log on! I am hoping it is a problem with their system and not mine.

Is anyone planning on going to the Castaway Club reception, this would be our first time. Or has anyone gone before, and have any thoughts about whether it is worth our time?

We are! Looking forward to it too. Actually we booked the Island Tour Combo through Shoretrips.com (Highly recommend from my TA). If you want to go with us COOL - AWESOME! We are on the 8:45 am - ORIGINAL 2-SNORKEL STOP STINGRAY CITY COMBO WITH CAYMAN SHORT AND SWEET

Anyone doing Stingray City in Grand Cayman???

I'm doing Cpt Marvin's Stingray city and 2 stop snorkel tour with DS and DD. Booked it directly with them. They don't charge your card if the ship does not dock. Its from 10am-1pm (1/2 day tour). I think it was $39 pp. Got great reviews on cruise critic and the DCL boards!

It's awesome Diane, you're gonna love it!! It's good you're going early too, before all of the sand and stuff makes the water cloudy. You're snorkeling in about 3-4 feet of water, and a stingray is right underneath you. They go in between your feet, they swim right over top of your arms. It's really cool!!

Do you live anywhere near Lake St. Louis- my cousin and her family lived there for about 5 years- we visited a few times- very nice.

Yes actually we live about 15-20 min. away.

I requested the 2nd Sea Day (Thursday) due to the Castaway Club event on the 1st Sea Day. Ususally though you can't request a day, they just assign it to you.

The CC event is usually the 1st Sea Day around 11am.

We did not go last time but are hoping to go this time.

That's cool!! When we visited we went up in the Arch, saw a baseball game, we had a really nice time. I would have liked going on the casino riverboats. LOL

Well, DH does not want to do the parasailing- so I just decided to keep the one I have in CC- I'm kind of disapointed- I wanted him to go- and wanted to go with all of us Dissers. Oh well.

Maybe he can hang out with some other Dis'ers who aren't going while you do the parasailing with your DD. My DD is going to hang with DSIS and BIL while I take DS parasailing. They're from Baltimore and work for the USPS so maybe the USPS and the UPS people can hang together while we parasail! I am going to wait till I get there to sign up so may be going at an earlier or later time. I want to check wind conditions first.
