Hi everyone - boy, has this board been busy! I'm finally done with my trial - we won:banana: it was a case I've been working on for 9 yrs, so its a huge relief. The old saying that the wheels of justice turn slowly is very very true. Lets just say I turned 50 in the middle of the trial - when I started I was only 41 - that seems soooo young!
Anyway, we were able to make all our reservations- we're doing the white-knuckle speedboat ride in Key West, Nativeways reef, rays and rum point beach in Cayman and 12:00 Royal dolphin swim in Cozumel:cool2::yay::woohoo:. Palo brunch is set for thursday morning. We'd be up for sharing a taxi to Chankanaab. Diane, we have early seating and would be glad to sit with you, but my dd is just turning 11, so she may be a little young to be interesting to your son. (I'm sure she'd feel differently, especially if he's cute - she's starting the boy-crazy thing waaay early!!!):)
Now for a stupid question, how in the world do you make the magnets everyone's talking about? I am clueless!
Congrats on the trial verdict~!

What has my DW (Texas Disney Fan) done NOW?!? I guess the Disney cruise is to far away and she just can't wait that long. 2 days ago she starts looking at Carnival cruises out of Galveston (we seem to take turns doing that occasionally, seeing if we can find a good deal). Well, when I saw what she was doing I kinda started egging her on saying there are some pretty good prices for the week of my birthday. At work, she has just finished a big annual project that is always stressful, so she didn't need much egging. Anyway, shes looking and occasionally mentions a couple of things and just continues looking. Yesterday, after work, she tells me she has talked with a Carnival representative and gotten a firm price quote with our past guest discounts and stuff. Next thing I know, this morning she calls Carnival back and books a 7 night cruise out of Galveston starting April 12!! This cruise stops at Montego Bay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico. Of course, she used the Disney Visa and now its all about getting more points to use on spa treatments on the Magic in June! :rotfl: She's even booked 2 excursions and done all of the online signing in and other paperwork. What has she done?!?! :confused3

(:rotfl: :woohoo: :rotfl2: :worship:)
:thumbsup2:cool1:

We have not stayed at the Swan and Dolphin but we have stayed both at BC and YC and love the location. I have always heard wonderful things about Swan and Dolphin. That is an excellent rate.
We love staying in the Epcot area. My kids adore the BC and SAB.

I would be happy to play around with it. Can you send me the files that you used to create it. I have some here too that I can mess around with.

Thanks! :thumbsup2
I will as soon as I get on my desktop.

pirate: aarrgghhh.... :rotfl2:
Booo! Hiss! ;)

Wanted to say Hello! I have been swamped at work this week and lost a litl one that I worked with/ did not make it thru his surgery... he was 4 ... I already told about my friend passing away ... I am heading to his funeral tomorrow and to top it off my hubby lost his job yestreday..... hmmm glad the week is over!!!!!!
I will be praying for your DH and a job. Sorry about the loss of the little boy.

I'm hoping! I keep calling & bugging them:lmao:, but it isn't working!:confused3
I'm sure it will!

Anyone staying at the Hyatt on Friday?
We are at the Country Inn and Suites at the Cape for Thurs and Fri before the cruise.
Just paid off the cruise....FINALLY. We cut it close b/c I was waiting for insurance reimbursement from DD's braces.

Now I'm kicking myself for not buying any insurance. DH's father just got news today that they are stopping all of his treatments for his cancer. Nothing is working anymore. The oncologist had made an estimate that the end could come as early as May or June. Needless to say, this is putting a damper on the cruise excitement. Hopefully, this won't be an issue b/c I believe in miracles and I'm praying for one. He has been battling colon cancer for over 5 years now.

I am relieved to have the cruise PAID in FULL!! Now I can start planning a little more. pirate:
I will be praying for your FIL.

We have early dining and have requested 5:30pm. Table of 5 with 3 8 year olds if anyone wants to link dining.

So, I changed my mind again :headache:... seems like I will be renting a car to drive to port instead of using DCL (got a rental for $40 via budget).

NOW comes the hard part... WHERE to STAY?? My DD can't make up her mind (she is definitely not an advance planner). Do we stay in Orlando/WDW or Port Canaveral area?? I would love to go to Downtown Disney. We have 76 days to decide.

BTW sorry if I drive everyone crazy with this....:flower3:

Hey congratulations on your car deal!!! You can't believe how many things I have changed for this cruise, including people who are going!:rotfl2: So, it depends on how much you want to spend and what you want to do! I just saw a 4 star on Hotwire in the MCO area for $56. You've got lots of options now that you have a car. Plan to spend a couple of hours in DTD if you go - lots of great shopping and eating choices. Our fav is Wolgang Puck express for lunch. If you wind up not doing priceline or hotwire, reserve a hotel soon- most let you cancel with 48 hours notice. Not sure about Disney resorts. At least that way you can cancel if you find a better deal or change your plans. We stayed at the Gaylord Palms last summer - Dreams Unlimited was promoting $99 night rooms which were really nice!:goodvibes
BTW -no apologies needed. We're here to help!

What a good wifey!!! I wish my DH would do that for my birthday!! LOL

Just booked the Dolphin Encounter at 1pm. With the 10% discount it was $246 for me and the kids. DH will just observe. I need to print the $2 off coupon for admission for him.

Nikki, aren't you doing the Encounter at 1pm with your DD too? We would love to do the van/taxi share with everyone. Plan on going to Chank early, then the Dolphin, and probably head back to the ship afterwards to shower/change/rest before dinner and the Pirate party.

Sounds good- definately interested in sharing a van- we are at 1pm as well. We will be going there early- to hang around the park- heard it was really nice. I saw some pictures too, of the park- really beautiful.:banana:

We have the first Dolphin Pull,Push & Swim booked through DCL so our transfers are included. We plan on hanging around the park afterwards for a little while. We went a year and a half ago, but it was raining. It stopped just long enough for us to do the encounter. So we pretty much just changed, bought the pictures, and left after we finished the encounter.

It will be good to see a lot of the Disers there too.

Are you still planning on booking the Pirate thing in Caymen? Only 2 more days left before you can book. :thumbsup2

We are staying at Port Orleans French Qtr the night before. It has the free Ferry over to Downtown Disney. You are more than welcome to join us... We are planning on going over to DTD after we check in and walk around, eat dinner, walk around some more.... It will be fun to have you along!

Ok so was anyone organizing the group Palo thing??? I would love to do a group. We need atleast 10 with a max of 12.

We have 2 people plus grandma (if we have room)

Please PM if you want to be apart of a group Palo Brunch. We had so much fun last time. It is so nice to have the private room and share company with other people we have been getting to know online.

Again this would be for a brunch. I do not like missing dinner in the dining room so I have never been to Palo for dinner. I am sure I am missing out but I can't miss the dining rooms. Even on the 14 night transatlantic I could not bare to miss one night....:rotfl:

Let me know if you are interested. If someone is already planning this and I missed it somewhere please put us down for 2 if you have room.

Thanks!!!

Can anyone tell me which night is formal night and which night is Pirate night? Thanks...I'm sure it's been posted many times before...

Hey congratulations on your car deal!!!

Are you still planning on getting a van for the trip back to the airport?? If so, count us (2) in!! If not, please let me know ASAP since I will have to make other arrangements.

Thanks for the offer! I still have to convince my DD about Downtown Disney. We might go & walk around but end up staying closer to port. Although, I would love to try Wolfgang Puck's rest.

Hi, I am going to get a van. I received a quote from Ace Limo so far. Its $115 plus 20% gratuity for a 10 person van holding 12 pieces of luggage. That should work well for our group of 7. I prefer this to renting a car back due to the hassle of having to picking it up, returning it, then getting to the airport. With a service, we go straight to the airport. Both of our flights are at 12:10pm so this works best. :goodvibes

Hey Everyone I can't believe the weekend is almost over!!! I have been trying to figure out how we are going to handle having a 60% income cut in our household.... I am going to start really reading on the budget site more often and I have been crunching numbers!!! I need a break from this stress and thought it would be fun to get on here and think about blue skies and blue waters!
