Anyone doing the parasailing through Fury in Key West? I booked us on the 2:00pm slot. DD 3 (4 at time of sailing) was so excited! It was such a funny reaction when I showed her the video. It is all she has been talking about all day now. The funny thing is that I had to tell her it is for when we go on the TransAtlantic next year bc this cruise is a surprise...:lmao:

We're doing it with Fury. I just cancelled my CC parasailing ressie for this one. We're either booking for 1 or 2pm. Maybe we'll do 2pm too! DS 12 is going up. I haven't made up my mind quite yet! :rotfl:

Wow! Thanks for posting this. It will definitely save some $$. I didn't see anything about the ages on the website, did you? I have a DD12 and DS8. I can stomach losing this amount of $ versus CC $$ if they back out.

:sail:

How long does Palo dinner take? If sunset is at 8:15pm, would you pick the 7:30pm or 8pm reservation?

I emailed Fury last week. They said children should weigh 50 lb. My DS wants to solo. He's 12 and weighs 95 lb. Thiese were their responses to my questions:

"We recommend children weight 50 lbs to parasail. The children will have to fly with an adult.'

"If the wind is light he can fly alone. If it is a very windy day he will need to have someone fly with him. Regardless, an adult must be on the trip with him."

"You can have your flight filmed on a cd by the crew. The cost of the cd is $20."

On CC, I would have to go up with him since he is under 13. I'm hoping for calm weather in Key West and I can just stay on the boat and observe. I'm a big chicken!!! :lmao:

Okay, this is great info and so much more affordable.
I bet you would enjoy it once you got up there!:scared1:

Oh fun, book 2:00...I think that they take 12 people out at a time. It would be great to have a boat full of DISers!

Castaway is too expensive plus my dd 3 CANT go with them but can with this company!!!

Yes, $35 verse $79 is a GREAT savings! I talked to the lady today. You have to be atleast 50lbs and 100lbs if going tandem. DD's want to go tandem and together they probably weight about 110!!!

DH and I were hoping to each go with one of the girls but it looks like we will each be going single and they will be going tandem together.

If a child weighs under 50 lbs- can they go with an adult? I might be willing to change my CC parasailing to Key West if DD6 can go- she only weighs about 43-45 lbs.

This is weird. The DCL site has been letting me book stuff already. Wonder how long ago I could have been doing this? Have the Pirate Encounter and Palo so far.

Go to the website and then send them a message and ask. They got back to me on the weight limit a few minutes ago. I got a response in less than an hour!

BTW, the weight limit is 500lbs for tandem!

So, are there a few Palo's left? What else did you get?
Showed dinner for every night (no brunch or tea). we picked Sun (Key West) at 7:30pm so we could watch the sunset. There is a magic show that night (no big show), so it seemed a good night to go. We will come back from Key West, feed the kids, send them to the lab, and go to dinner.

I'm staying on until midnight to see if brunch opens up.

I got the 9:15am Pirate Encounter, floats for CC, and we booked the Dolphin Encounter on our own. Will do the Key West Trolley tour on our own too, so I think we're good for excursions. May take a peek at the Spa stuff next.

When you booked the Dolphins on your own, do you pay now or is it a cc hold?

Also, will I have to put in cc # after each excursion I book on DCL website tonight or do I just put that in once? Sorry, I just want to be prepared.

We are also doing the trolley in Key West and also parasailing. Maybe the pirate encounter in GC and DH wants to do the Jeep tour in Cozumel but I'm a little concerned with all of the travel warnings now.

You don't pay now, so there is no CC needed. Just reserve now. For the dolphins, I did have to pay now. If you book by the 31st, you get 10% off all of their programs. Usually the 10% is just for groups. Get refund -10% if ship can't dock/late. It was much cheaper than going through DCL.
