I don't know how they could debarb all of them- it's literally in the middle of the ocean- the company that we went with(and this was years ago)said that they come from all around the island to feed there. Maybe they've figured out a way to debarb all of them, I don't think they could though- LOL. Anyway I do think it's an awesome experience- go for it!!!:thumbsup2

I would definately say it is safe.
Awesome! Thanks! I am going for it. Love your pictures!!!!

LOVE your pictures Nikki!!! So cute. We can't wait for pirate night.
As far as formal night goes...I am glad to hear that not everyone wears suits, cocktail dresses, etc. We plan to dress up, but my DS9 will not be wearing a tie/jacket and I am not sure my husband will have a jacket either.
And about the stingrays..I did this excursion a number of years ago and I agree, they are not debarbed. The guide on my tour said they will not sting unless you freak out and start jumping up and down or threaten them in some way... it did sort of make me nervous and it took me a while to get up the nerve to jump off the boat but once I did it was fine! I am looking forward to doing it again!

Ut oh? Mean change? What is going on with this? What do you guys know?

All I know is I don't like change! LOL

I am sure it will still be good! I am however a VERY picky eater! As long as there is still risoto one of the nights I will be all good!

LOL

I have been reading other boards about the menus.. the Wonder has already changed their menu to a new one & supposedly Magic will be changing the first full week of June. People have posted the new Menu from Wonder. SOOO we may not really know if the menu changed or not unless someone posts something while on board.

I have not looked at the changes on the menu--what are they?? There was nothing we loved that much that we will miss.

My family is not dressing up for pirate night. I wish they would because everyone always looks so great-but they refuse.

For formal night my sons are wearing suits and I will wear a cocktail dress--hoping to find a new one, even though I have some from other cruises I could wear again.

well, Jayde unfortunately did not receive her drivers license today. Couldn't get past the parking test. Oh well, she just needs to practice more. Maybe she can practice docking the ship. :rotfl2:

UGH.. formal/semi-formal nights, I dread these! I can never find a dress that looks decent. I did find a black dress that I will just add something to it to make it dressier. As for Jayde, she bought a dress for winter formal & ended up not going (lucky for us!).

Hope everyone's week is starting off great! I dread having to go back to work on Wed (one of our employees just gave 30 days notice & another will be leaving around the same time).

Steph ~ adorable pics. Definitely understand about the braids; Jayde only got half done & were horrible to get plus she got sunburned on her scalp. I was thinking about getting half but decided against it.

Denise & Nikki ~ adorable pics, too.

Looking forward to seeing everyone dressed-up!!

Aww.. hopefully next time! :)

Where was everyone last night... sugar coma? ;) Jayde went & stayed at a friends which was good (hopefully it cheered her up).

I have today off again and pretty much have nothing to do except Jayde has another dentist appt. And the weather is awful here ~ gloomy, rainy, & cold!

has anyone ever sent a box ahead? I am now considering sending my FE gifts and some other items. Is there a chance it won't make it? How far ahead do I have to send it?

This thread was amazingly quiet yesterday-odd for everyone here.

Am I the only one worried their FE gift isn't enough? I made a bag for each room and they seem so empty, but unless I send them ahead I am running out of room--I tend to overpack. Even after all these years, and cutting back, I still take too much, but am afraid to go with out it "in case".

I saw a question on another thread about wheelchair boarding-when did they change that? Last year they boarded with group 1-this year because of traffic headed to WDW for NYE we did not get there before boarding started--I am surprised if they changed this and wonder why. We are getting my mom a wheelchair-I will probably try to have it delivered to the hotel Friday, if that is possible.

It was very quiet around here yesterday- hopefully it will be better today. LOL
It is raining/sleeting here today- I thought it was supposed to be spring!!:scared1:

Formal nights... when we first starting crusing DD and I would wear matching mother/daughter formal gowns. Now my teen barely wants to admit that I am her mother :scared1:

I'm thinking my black sequined knee length for formal (vs the slinky gowns I used to carry on) and possibly even repeating for semi-formal. (who cares!)

We have changed our whole attitude about packing after we did Italy (5 nights) + the Mediterranean cruise (7 nights) in one 26" carry-on suitcase each back in November. We have terrible luggage luck and didn't want to not have our stuff make it. Needless to say the black, packable dress that I brought was worn several times! (But in Europe it is true that they really don't dress for cruises the way that some folks here do.) The one suitcase thing (washing your delicates in your sink at night and sending a bit off to the laundry) worked out just fine for us. I am actually excited that there will be a laundromat onboard. None of the other lines we have been on had that. Sometime around Wednesday at the crack of dawn you'll find me happily doing laundry :laundy: Crazy, I know, but I wake up early we can pack 1/2 as much t shirts, shorts, pjs, etc.

That is too funny! :) I'm glad to hear it isn't just my teenager that acts that way!

DD and I just got back from a 4 day trip to DC and Baltimore, and I only let her take a carry on. First, I wasn't paying to check luggage on Air Tran (we usually fly Southwest and your first 2 checked bags are free!) and we took the metro from Regan airport to Union station, then went by Amtrak to Baltimore, so small luggage was essential. I joked that I would only let her take one carry on for the cruise and she looked at me like I had 2 heads. :lmao: It was very liberating taking less luggage. We do overpack usually and I would like to take less if we can! I'll have to consider midweek laundry too! :laundy:

We're not going to do laundry on the ship, but when we leave the cruise and head to our resort, we will be doing laundry for the rest of the day probably. LOL I didn't want to have to pack 2 full sets of clothes for 2 weeks, we've done that and it's ALOT!!

For anyone staying at WDW that next week, what parks are you guys doing?

Oh my, boy, do people do laundry on the ship. Most of the time, the laundry is a mad house, at least that has been my experience. On the WB repo, I thought that fights were going to break out. LOL. Maybe on this shorter cruise, their will be less of this.

Oh my goodness, I thought my sister was the only one that did laundry on vacation! :)

We never have before- but because we are going to be traveling for 2 1/2 weeks, I'm going to. Plus our room will have the washer/dryer in it. My only problem is I don't want to wear the same clothes twice in pictures. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

DH did say he will bring our suitcases down this week!!(he's on vacation with Jordan):banana::banana:

On our last cruise- I had to iron something- and it was a madhouse in the little laundry room- I am bringing a hand steamer this time. ;)
