So is everyone ready for Christmas?:santa: I have just a couple of other things to pick up so I am hoping after today to be done.

I'm all ready, too...in fact, we have our first extended family celebration later today. We fly to mom's for Christmas, so we celebrate with my DH's family before we go. It's nice to have it today, as it makes it just a little bit shorter of a wait for Christmas day.

I would interested in them as well, but very unfamiliar. Is anyone willing to help coordinate and help us newbies learn the ropes? Thanks.:goodvibes

I haven't done them, but I'm willing to look into it and organize it, if noone else feels like it. Sounds like a fun little challenge. :thumbsup2

Hello, new friends!
I just had an idea...what do you all think of having a "Question of the week" between now and the cruise. A new question could be posted each Sunday, and when people reply, we can get to know one another a little bit more.Of course, participation is optional, but it could be fun. Let me know what you think.

I am so ready- we have my DH's extended family exchange tonight. It's about 15 kids and about 25 adults. We rent a hall, and the adults do the "Steal the Gift" type exchange, and the kids draw names and exchange. We also hire a "Santa", it is alot of fun!! We are having food and games too, it will be a few hours long. DH has 6 cousins that are his age with their own families, then all of the kids are almost the same age too. It's crazy!!:goodvibes

I think we'll start off basic, and then build from there. So, here we go...

Question #1
How many Disney cruises have you taken, and why is 6/13/09 "The Week" for your family?

I'll start the answers...

This will be the 3rd cruise for Dave and I. We first sailed on the Magic (a Western) in September 2006, with two other couples We rebooked then for the Thanksgiving Double Dip of 2008. The Double Dip was the first trip with the kiddos. We didn't think we'd cruise again until 2010 at the earliest, but with the great rates for Cat. 12's, we decided that 6/13/09 is a great choice for us. It will be SO nice to go on vacation without having to think about make-up work for school. It seemed to always be hanging over our heads last trip. This will be my mom's first trip, in honor of her 60th b-day.

Great Question!

This will be our 2nd (possibly 3rd, have the June 6th Eastern booked as well but not sure if I can get 2 weeks off work) Disney cruise. Our first was the 7 nt Eastern in Sept '07. We just booked this cruise because of the GREAT deal. We had actually planned to skip Disney in '09 and we had a spring break cruise booked on RCCL. I do wish this deal would have been on the June 20th cruise though, then we could have celebrated Zane's 8th birthday which is June 22nd.

OT: I am also looking at the June 21st cruise on the Freedom of the Seas, has anyone been on any of the freedom class ships? If so how did you like them?

This will be our 6th Disney cruise... I hate my hubby is going to miss it. He will be in Chicago that week for work. The price for this week was unreal and I love to cruise in June. :)

Merry Christmas!

Randi

This will be our 3rd disney cruise. We first did a land/sea in 02 & 7 day Eastern in 04. We cruised on RCCL in 06 (BIG MISTAKE). We deceided on this cruise due to the price, we paid this price on our Eastern in 04 in Nov.

This will be our second DCL cruise. We did a 4/3 land/sea this past summer. We were going to do Carnival cruise this very week but talked ourselves in spending the extra $$ to be able to do DCL. We like the port stops much better than the other one plus and more important we loved DCL. With only having done a 3 day, we felt like we ran out of time and missed soo many things. I am soo excited about this trip. We always vacation in June.

Question #1
How many Disney cruises have you taken, and why is 6/13/09 "The Week" for your family?

This is our first Disney cruise, our first cruise in general. I have been thinking about cruising. The kids are released for summer vacation on June 5th and so we decided on a June cruise.

This will be our 3rd Disney cruise, May 06 and Jan 08. We were actually booked for Jan 09 but when the military rates came out for summer we moved it. I am so excited!!

How many Disney cruises have you taken, and why is 6/13/09 "The Week" for your family?
This will be our 2nd DCL- the first one was in Sept 2007(Eastern). We rebooked onboard for the 8/15/09 Tortola(we still owed about $1200 on it)-but when the new rates came out we changed the date- and the price was so low it's now paid off) :woohoo: :woohoo: Plus we want to put our house up for sale next Fall, and figured it would be better to vacation earlier in the year.:goodvibes

Question #1
How many Disney cruises have you taken, and why is 6/13/09 "The Week" for your family?

This is our second cruise. We did the New Year's Eve cruise last year and loved it! But, the weather wasn't so cooperative and our Cozumel excursion was cancelled. We wanted to do another western cruise and thought June was a good time...the boys will have just finished with school for the summer and I know we will be more than ready to get away from it all!

Question #1
How many Disney cruises have you taken, and why is 6/13/09 "The Week" for your family?

This is will be DW and my second cruise. We did our first (3 night for our aniversary in Sept) and became hooked. We really wanted to have one big trip before my oldest goes off to college. The date was because of the great rates and since I work in an accounting dept, I am very limited in what weeks I can take off. Our year-end is March 30th so no spring break! DW works in the school so that means it is pretty much the summer/thanksgiving/christmas.

Thanks for everyone who has played along with the question of the week so far. It's so nice to check in and start to learn little tidbits about y'all. :thumbsup2

This will be our 2nd cruise and we just couldn't pass up the great rate for summer.

Well I am officially off until Friday. I need it, we just found out the bank I work for got bought out by another larger bank. I am praying for a good merger- and that I will have a job at the end of it!! :goodvibes
