I hope I get my FE gifts in time. I custom ordered them last week and will call on Mon to see if they are ready. Fortunately, the maker is here in Houston! I know we have some other families joining us at the meet. I ordered extras so should have plenty. I would like to give mine out at the first Dis meet to everyone. It will help so we can find each other the first day and from then on!!!

Everybody don't forget Layne is also doing the teen excursion but he can't talk to anyone yet because he doesn't know he is even going!!! So all the teens PLEASE don't forget about including Layne!!!!! in!!!!

Freaking out...trying to get everything packed. DD12 and I leave at 6am for our field trip to Washington, D.C. and won't return until around 10:30pm Thursday! We will come in , wash clothes that need to be repacked, grab a couple hours sleep, hopefully. DH wants to leave here around 4:30am on Friday morning!! That should put us arriving at the Radisson around 3pm! I'm going to try and get appts. in Cocoa Beach for DD and I to have mani/pedis since all the nail salons around here are closed today.

Today, I still have to pick up a few last minute things, go see my parents ( I hate going a week without seeing them and in this case it will be 2 weeks!!) and go spend time with my FIL that as most of you know, has terminal cancer. BTW, Hospice nurse still saying he's not going anywhere in the next few weeks. He's tough and has the best spirit and outlook so I'm hoping we'll have him for many more months. I believe in miracles and I'm praying for one with him.

Like a lot of you all it has bee a crazy week for us here. I finished making our t-shirts and now on to packing for the trip.LOL I am so glad I finished the FE gifts a couple of weeks ago!!

So the packing must start again today but I do have wonderful news hehe ....

Last night (Thanks to DSIS advice) as per DH Rob's request I dressed the children and we all went out for dinner to Red Robin..... Then the best part happened I went to JC Penny and I got a swimsuit...... They were on sale 40% off then an extra 15% off for the Sat sale....... WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!!! I went and told my DH my suit was 78 and he had this look like then I said you know me better I got it on sale


Another tip...clean out your fridge of any leftovers before your departure!!!!!

what does FE stand for? This is our first cruise and I am getting that everyone likes to decorate the cabin doors. But I can't figure out FE and will probably feel really dumb once you tell me.

I can say honestly that I do not feel dumb because I never would have figured that one out!! So, I know about meeting up at 3:00 on the day we set sail. I know to bring a home town "gift" to exchange if I want to. I know to decorate my door with magnets, and I know about the fish extender. Now, how do we take part in "extending" gifts out into the FE's? Is there something I needed to sign up for and it is now too late? Is it random..if you see one on the ship you can put a "gift" in for someone? Sorry to be such a pain, but I know my 7 year old will want to be a part of it once he see's all of the FE's on the boat.

No one will forget Layne!!! I told Morg today that you were keeping the cruise a secret from your 3 and the tale about the backed up laundry and she started cracking up. Hard as I try I could never keep the secret because I get too charged up when I have a cruise coming!!

Layne will be one of the cool kids I promise.

(PS - you all have my permission to correct/glare at/give the "I'm disappointed look" or whatever other parental tool you have necessary if you see any transgressions whatsoever from my DD. She's a very good girl, but she'll have a certain amount of freedom on the ship, and I have no problem with other parents stepping in when I'm not around!!!)

I have completely finished packing for Rob. So I have him and the FE items done. I am going to start on myself this evening. We end up going out last night and buying another piece of luggage. Of course we always overpack. I can not wait till Friday.

Ok, working on things for trip and couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up till about 3:30am and made a bigger EF holder, since everyone else has bigger ones.LOL I just made it simple and made patch like names and attached them:

Hey everyone- I'm done packing except for a toiletries bag for the road trip down there!!!!! For the cruise- I have 4 suitcases/a garment bag/2 toiletries bags(that FE stuff took a lot of room).
We will board with a backpack for our laptop/camera stuff/passports/money, etc- and another toiletries bag(stuff we took on the roadtrip- and need.)
I can't believe we're (well really me- Steve didn't pack a freakin' thing)done- and we leave on Wednesday after work!!! 2 more days!!!!
I got mani/pedi today, hair getting done tomorrow.

I think so too, we made tshirts for embarkation too- we are going matchy-matchy!! We are all wearing turqoise tshirts with the design that Stephanie made- that's in my signature, and jean shorts. I can't wait!!

Yeah I know about the FE stuff taking a lot of room. We will have 4 checked bags and probably 2 carry ons. I think we opted not to bring the laptop. I have finished about 75% of stuff for myself. So we are in good shape. We just have to wait for Friday to come which will be torture.
