6/11/2022 - Is anyone else having trouble modifying a reservation this morning?

A day before my existing reservation opened up this morning and I tried to grab it. I got all of the way through to "Book This Room", clicked and...DWARFS! Refreshed repeatedly for 30 minutes and the room came up again with the same result. I repeated the process a total of 4 times with no success. For the 5th attempt, I booked just the single night and it went through. UGH! Now I'll have to contact MS to combine the two reservations! If the website worked properly, this waste of manpower could have been avoided! #fixthewebsiteBob

I posted the same thing several days ago. I got an error screen that said “this service is unavailable.” I didn’t have the points to grab the room by itself (I was trying to shift it by 1 day). Eventually the room disappeared. MS wasn’t open yet so I couldn’t call and I wasworking so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not this morning but a few months ago I ran into an issue where the system refused to let me modify a reservation at SSR if it included a certain night. I would get that Service Unavailable message. It was very odd. Even MS couldn't do it. Since it was SSR I knew I could cancel and rebook with that "questionable" night.

Mine was for an SSR standard 1 bd in Aug. The timeframe I’m looking at has no availability for several nights in a row. I tried 3 browsers and the private/incognito version of each. Still haven’t seen the date I need pop up.

My issue was with an SSR Standard 1 BR as well but at the end of June......

It's a coding issue, won't matter which browsers you try.

I sent a contact email asking for an eta on the fix for this…. I’ll keep pestering them until they fix it. We love our HR and those 1 bd standards are the most point-efficient out there beside the impossible to get value rooms at akv & bwv.

I did have trouble this morning and ended up calling. I also had trouble getting in yesterday morning but after several tries, I was able to get what I wanted.

This has been going on for some time now with me. I started using my phone app instead of my computer and I was able to book everything that I wanted (and afford, so not everything). It was a day long event trying to plan this vacation, all that came up was Stitch saying that someone at my page. Then on the phone app it was simple. Are you using a PC/Mac or your phone?

Android phone, using Chrome, Samsung Internet and Duck Duck Go browsers to access the DVC member website. Same results everywhere.
 
I was granted that joyous experience last night trying to shorten a reservation by a few days on either end. I tried removing just the day on the end with no luck either (7 dwarfs). Ultimately, it worked by allowing me to just remove the days off the beginning separately, then I was magically able to modify again and remove the day off the end.

Nice system they've got there.
 
We just got our points loaded last night and I was booking our 'welc me home' reservetion. The contract we purchased had the points remaining for this year banked. I made one borrowing reservation for 4 days without issue. I was attempting another resort for the 5th day (with the plan to wait-list another day) and the 2nd reservation wouldn't go through. I had to call to get it setup.

This is a different issue, it's a resale purchase borrowing glitch that some users have. It works the first time when borrowing from a Use Year but after that you are going to have to call.

Ahh. He acted slightly surprised when I explained I had already borrowed in the first reservation without issue. I wonder how that will impact the two wait-list reservations they setup for me...?

Since those are processed by Member Services it shouldn't be an issue. The borrowing glitch affects the website only.

I just ran into the dwarves trying to modify a reservation today as well. The only thing that worked for me was changing the guest information (I changed the email address on the second adult traveller, not sure that specifically made the difference, but at this point I'm willing to spin clockwise 7 times while performing a Gregorian chant at 6:55AM EST on the dot every day if thats what it takes to make the website work). That worked for me. Every other attempt (different browsers, phone vs laptop, incognito mode vs not, etc.) let me go as far as confirming the details, and then the dwarves showed up.

Now I have to modify it again to fix the email address. (It worked!)
