Being pro-environment doesn't necessarily require being anti-corporation.Of COURSE the EPA is supposed to be pro-environment and anti-corporation. That's my ENTIRE point!

We will? I'll be in my late 30sAnd, lastly, we'll all be dead in 2035 so why are we even discussing this?

We have to get to the end of that 5th gate discussion firstNot fair youngling.
Of course you'll be burdened with the discussion as to whether they should have a 20th gate on the Moon, and 21st on Mars.

Figure out when the very first permit for Disney Springs or Animal Kingdom was filed with the EPA then get back to me on your claim that it's not taking 10 years. For all we know AK's first paperwork could've been submitted to the government during the Reagan administration.
Right now there's massive "anti corporate" and "pro environment" leadership within the EPA. So I think there would be a ton of feet dragging in getting the paperwork finished. So, I stand by my statement: "There's no WAY an entire new park gets built within 10 years of the time Disney Execs agree to move forward on the project".
After all, we gotta save those endangered....whatevers.....in the Florida swampland!
I have never seen any evidence that Disney files with the EPA before doing construction. Environmental issues all go through the South Florida Water Management District while usually takes around 30 days to give approval.
Well building an entire park might require more/longer regulatory approval but Disney World is a special case compared to basically everywhere in the US.
I see no reason why it would be years. However, keep in mind that the OP on this has a track record of rhetorical exaggeration in their posts.

I didn't know you were a bus driver?Oh... facts... where's the fun in them?
Did I tell you about Disney's plans for a 6th gate featuring Marvel, the Muppets and Roger Rabbit? It will be awesome and everyone will love it!

I want to go to there.
I miss Roger Rabbit. I wish they still had *SOMETHING* with him around. At least I might get my mini-Muppet land, though I'd really like a Muppet dark ride.

My experience through my previous employer, wasn't so much they had an agenda either way. It was that the process is lengthened by public comment. Public is oversight required. In order to allow it, you need to allow time for people to comment. Not a bad thing, but those waiting periods add a significant time project completion dates.Anybody ever work with the EPA?
The perception that the EPA is somekind of progress blocking, stick wielding behemoth is ridiculous.
The reality is that all their codes are written to ensure minimum levels of actions and cost...and their code enforcement yields little actual oversight due to logistical limitations.
Remember that the EPA was designed and implemented under Nixon...and yet still it is far more progressive as a public service/vision than almost anything done since.
We have bloated wastes like homeland security now
