I'm not sure exactly what I'm allowed to post for this, but I just booked the last 2 nights of our stay (we are staying in a timeshare for the rest of the stay) at $59 at night for a 2 BDRM villa near Disney. I got the deal on TravelZoo.com, which links you to BookIt.com. The deal only lasts until 5pm tonight - but is good for travel through November 30th.

Hope this helps someone else! :)

if it's the same deal I am seeing then it's not really very close to Disney, but that is a great price if you don't mind the travelling time.

Yeah, we always stay off site, so it's not a big deal to me. We are staying in a timeshare the other part of the week, so we are used to the driving. :)

I don't know which hotel you're reffering to, but please be careful. I used a travelzoo/book-it link to get one night in a 3 b/r condo before a DVC stay (we had 8 people including 4 teen girls and I preferred to keep everyone under one roof). I have a lot of experience booking rooms and I thought I was very diligent to look for "hidden" charges before booking. Every page during the booking process I read carefully. I understood the cancellation fee, I waived the insurance fee, and when my trip had been booked....voila! A cleaning fee of $50. was disclosed for a stay less than 7 days (which ended up making my $99. room cost 50% more). It made me mad. I immediately called book-it and it took the rep there at least 10 minutes to find the charge "disclosed"...hidden on a link within one of the booking pages. I was nice and pleasant and firm, they did agree to let me cancel without fees, but still claimed that I had to eat a $25. internet booking fee. And even though I asked to have the book-it supervisor to call me back (apprently he was at a different location) he never did. Later on (about 3 wks later) their billing dept. sent me an email saying they were refunding even less than what I had been promised (I had an email from the customer service rep on my side at least). When I email then back questioning the amount and asking to have it fixed I got no repsonse. In the end I was able to get a charge-back credit from my credit card, if not I would have been filing a lot of complaints with various agencies. Other companies list these extra cleaning fees up front, there was no way for a book-it customer to know about it prior to booking (every single web page you could click did not mention it). All I can say is: BEWARE OF BOOK-IT!!!!

I guess because of instances like this, they are more diligent about posting the fees now, because they definitely posted all of the fees on the site - cleaning, cancellation, insurance, etc. Sorry that happened to you, though!

We were traveling to Erie and needed an overnight stop that I didn't really want to pay a lot for. I found a really good deal on book-it and altho a little leery because I'd never heard of them, I thought I'd give it a try. I even called the hotel after booking to confirm the reservation. WELL... when we got to the hotel, our reservation was SO BADLY wrong (wrong room type, wrong personal information, wrong pretty much everything EXCEPT the price). The manager apologized profusely and ended up upgrading us to a jacuzzi room for the same price, but we ALMOST didn't have a room. He told me that they constantly have problems with this company and do avoid them if at all possible.
I have to agree.....
Good luck!

I'm hoping your reservation turns out to be as good of a deal as it's showing. Please let us know when you return.
