Not sure if it's applicable -- but the Dr's office tried to tell me that I had a UTI during a recent employment physical. They based this on urine dipstick results that showed blood and epithelial cells in my urine sample. However -- after refusing their requests for further bloodwork (I felt fine and have never had a UTI). ....they finally asked if I had my period (which I did at the time). And then said "Oh sorry!" -- they forgot to ask the all important female question!

W/ starting antibiotics now, it should clear up in a few days. Prayers that everything goes just fine and you can have your surgery as planned.
