I think we'll be there at the same time! We bought at BWV but them bought more points as a resell at OKW. This will be our first trip there too. I can't offer you OKW advice then, but I can say this...You have many more years ahead of you so take this time to relax, notice the smaller details, tune into each other (since it is a romantic occassion), and don't worry about that marathon Disney vacation stuff. The resorts are a vacation spot unto themselves and so many people are so rushed that they don't get to enjoy them. Rent a boat or a bike, sit on your porch at night with a bottle of wine (or whatever) and listen to the sounds of nature, sleep in and take a romantic stroll after breakfast, the list is endless! Have a wonderful time and Happy Anniversary!

The answer is no kids. Just me and the wife.

Enjoy and let us know about your impressions. I'm a new member with OKW as my home resort but I'm not going until Sept.

Basser,

Hello fellow Brocktonians! I grew up there and went to old BHS, most of which is no longer standing as you probably know.

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary!! You have picked a great place to celebrate it. My wife and I will be celebrating our 25th at DVC, too, but in August.

Although OKW is our home resort, we are going to try BWV and VWL on that trip since we have been to OKW every year since we joined (1995).

As far as tips go, we like the area around Turtle Pond because of the quiet pool and snack bar there. Be sure to visit the other resorts for swimming or dining, especially the ones surrounding the Boardwalk. It can be very romantic walking around there at night and it is very convenient after watching Illuminations at EPCOT. The Flying Fish is a great place to celebrate that anniversary. I know that I am planning a dinner there during our stay!

The DVC Sales Office is at the BW and you can view the new VWL layouts there just in case you want to add more points at the end of your vacation. ;)

I hope this helps. Happy 25th! :)

Welcome to your firt trip home! If you are near the Southpoint or Turtle pond area, take the walkway to DD behind building 55. We also like the quiet pools at OKW. I have never been to the main pool to do anything other than look around. Our guests and kids have, but I usually only frequent whatever quiet pool is near our unit for the hot tub.

Happy 25th Anniversary! :)
Try to remember to have a CM make a note on all of your Priority Seating arrangements that it's your 25th anniversary. Although they are not obligated, Disney might actually surprise you and do something nice for the 2 of you. You may even want to make sure Member Services has noted it on your reservation. A 'Happy Anniversary' after the 'Welcome Home' from the front desk staff might help to make an already wonderful trip even better. :)
