55 and over housing..will the age rise or will soon be seeing kids running around?

I can see being attracted to one of those "55 and over" communities a few short years from now. I see nothing endearing, nor does it cause moments of nostalgia, when I see young kids flying down my side street on a "Razor". It's getting to the point that sometimes I would love peace and quiet...even if having to live with "blue heads"....that's a Floridian term. We don't use "Q-tip" so much here.

BTW - your theory is dead on. Communities give tax/zoning variances to 55+ communities because they love people who pay property taxes, but don't send kids to the schools. Nothing better.

Only problem is that they are more likely to not vote for schools on tax levys, etc. Their kids are grown up and out of the school system, why would they pay for the kids currently there.
