52-Week Savings Challenge

I started over in July, something came up and I had to use it.
So, now I am doing 2, just to compensate for using the first one. I am almost halfway there.

Good for you. the bright side is that you had money when you really needed it. I always feel sick when I have to empty my change jar to pay a bill.

This is my first year trying the challenge. Those big numbers at the end scared me off. I may try to jump ahead and do a few of them ahead to get them out of the way.

Started this for the first time. Last week took care of weeks 1 through 5 and yesterday I took care of one of the higher weeks since I had some extra money. Obviously I'm jumping around as needed depending on how much extra I have for the week. My goal is to finish by Nov 1st to have money for Christmas shopping!

I printed out sheets for me and my 3 young adult children who are still living at home. DS has crossed out the first few weeks. I am trying to convince him to do higher amount ones insted of many small ones. He is really into it and I hope he is successful.

DD 21 is on a college trip to Mexico. She will get started when she gets home. DD 19 needs it the most. Hopefully she will start as well.

I have everyone at work doing this, I have the chart, and am doing it a little randomly, bouncing around the chart, depending on what bills I have due. I am going to try to get the larger $$$$ amounts done in the first few months of the year though, I have more money now. ;)

Can someone please provide a link to a spreadsheet for 2015? I've hard the hardest time trying to google image, then print. ugh. TIA
LOVE the Disney one!!!

I was going to go in order but I think I have decided to just mark off the weeks randomly based on funds I have. So this week I marked of $18 as I earned $18 doing surveys.

Well I know what I am saving up for now, DH and I's 20th wedding anniversary is April 2016, we just booked a cruise last night(a 4 night on RCCL, just the two of us:love:)!!!!!! the money is due the end of January for it, sooooo gonna pay it off with the money from the challenge. :cool1:

Rolling along, have $150 in our plan so far. DH and I are determined to do this plus put extra in for our Christmas money. We want to surprise kids with a Jan trip to Disney...waiting until Christmas to tell them. Very important that we have enough money to put aside for the holiday because our regular Christmas club will go towards trip!

I am doing this again also. It worked so well last year. I am trying to round up and put in a little extra when I can.

We were doing it last year but had things come up so it was a good thing we had started but we stopped after having to use it all. We are doing it again but trying to do three of them. Two will be used to pay off some bills and the other I have no idea.

Since im bouncing around the budget board today, how is everyone doing with this this year?

My coworker and I are on track, we did it differently. I bounced around depending on the paycheck and what I had extra and she did it week by week until a certain amount and then just stuck with the same amount, it will give her slightly more than the challenge. We are both excited to start again next year. everyone else on track?

Both DH & I are doing this and have kept on track but it is getting really serious now. Had a garage sale last weekend and was able to pay a couple weeks ahead...we are going to use the money for a short vacation around Thanksgiving (so will rob/use money at that time) and Christmas. We will do it again next year but I have suggested that one of us start at the end and one at the beginning so it is more even throughout the year. It has been interesting a good challenge to keep on track on our regular savings plus this.

I did 2 this year, and I have just a few weeks to go. If I had extra money, I knocked off little one's. I am Paying between the 2 $63 a week. I am not touching this money. I am saving it for my dd's wedding. I know I have to start somewhere and need a lot more, but I am happy and will have over $2000 saved by Nov. and then I will start 2 more.
