Christmas Bookings

Hi all, My sister and her husband would like to spend Christmas in WDW, just 3 nights, 24,25,26. I have contracts at BLT and SSR. There are currently studios available at both resorts but they aren't sure which one they want . My question is, if I book now at both resorts, will it be easy for me to rent out the existing reservation for that time slot. We've never stayed in our DVC room over Xmas as we are UK based and we don't have enough points to make the journey it worth while but she lives in South Carolina so it's an easier trip for her.

I would book BLT for their plans…
Probably would not want to try to rent or sell the other reservation from overseas .
It’s not that easy .

I’m sure there would be many options available to make it “easy”. Wouldn’t they also be able to decide 31+ days prior to the reservation, so you would just cancel the other one, with no penalties.

Unfortunately, if they cancel late, I will have a use year issue so have to rent out anyway. My lovely sister isn't the most reliable person and as there are no flights involved, it's just possible she will cancel/decide too late

It’s plenty easy, many many uk people rent reservations.

I’d then book BLT only. Easier to 7 month change it to SSR. Unless they really like SSR, BLT with the new refurb and Christmas morning right outside the Magic Kingdom. What a gift!

Is it easy to make changes from overseas if you are not familiar with the process?
My response was based on her description and it implied she was unfamiliar.
and asked for advice.
It takes more than just one call to complete a rental. Does this member want to deal with overseas trying to rent out her reservation ?
Perhaps you could explain beyond criticizing me.

I also wanted her to complete a reservation that might not be available if she delays for the holidays. DVC is very popular for the holidays and BLT is my home resort so I did not want her to miss the booking window.
