50th anniversary question

Can anybody tell me about when the 50th anniversary celebration will take place? I will be arriving on May 13, 2005 and I really do not want to go if there is gonna be a big to-do going on and everything over crowded. Usually May is a good time to go with mod crowds but I've been hearing a little something about the 50th anniversary thing but not enough to be able to tell when it is. Can someone tell me a little more?

I doubt you'll see too much going on at WDW for the kick off of DL's 50th celebration. They'll definately have some promotions but, doesn't sound like they'll be doing too much to take away from DL. Don't worry about it effecting the crowds too much.
