There is absolutely no way Disney isn't going to be peddling 50th merch for the next 18 months. Certain items may come and go, but there's always going to more coming. Disney FOMO is real and I'm often guilty of it myself, but they are not going to miss the opportunity to sell as much 50th stuff as possible.

I'm actually concerned they will! This won't be the only 50th magic band. When it's gone, they'll replace it with a different one. And cuz I'm a minor magic band addict, I will have to buy that one too. And the next..... I'm doomed. Lol!

This band will be sold until the 50th ends, it's designated LR (Limited Release) - In other terms, sold during a specific time frame. The only products you'll never see again after sell out are LE (Limited Editions). You will find this band on all the merchandise walls in parks & resorts when things get going after Oct 1. I'm curious what it will go for then, probably $50+ ?? I'm also curious if we will actually see a 50th LE, I mean, 18months is pretty long, reminds me of Micky's 90th, that merchandise went on seemingly forever.

It's $45. The $30 pre-order was a discount for resort guests, and I know there's a concern from folks here about the limited nature but they didn't set that $45 price only to sell out all the stock at a discount.

I assume so, although I don't know in what capacity. Like I said, they note that this band retails at $45 but had a special pre-order price for resort guests that sold out quickly. I don't know why they would mention this if they didn't plan to sell it at that price somewhere.

Until I saw Kevin and BB-8….?? And this is the MK anniversary, and those aren’t from MK either…..what am I missing? Or is it just to commemorate the new theme “let’s see how much we can get them to spend??”

This is my problem with the gold statues. I thought it was the magic kingdoms 50th. I love Bb8, r2d2 etc bit they don't represent MK for me. I know these statues will be in other parks but it just seems odd.

It's listed as a pre-arrival exclusive band so I actually doubt it will be for sale in the parks. There's a plain blue band with the same gold slider for sale in the parks.

I don't know how anyone would unless they want it for display, since its a band for hotel stays or passholders it is automatically linked to the person that its picked for and they can't be changed.

Activated my pass at Disney Springs yesterday and spent the afternoon at Epcot for the first time since March 2020. Great to be back at the parks! I didn't see any magic bands I liked there, so I was happy to see the 50th Anniversary one available online this morning and ordered one. It did force me to personalize, no biggie since there is no upcharge. Can't wait to see it in person!
