50th Anniversary Limited Release MagicBand

So I went to MDE and found the band and added, but it is not in my cart and there is no way to pay for it? It indicates pick up at check in but somehow that doesn't feel right. How do I pay/confirm on MDE?

There should be a way to "checkout" - selecting the bands isn't enough. After you have selected for all in your party I think it pops up. I can't remember for sure.

Yeah, if you have a party going with you have to either select a magicband or decline a magicband for all individuals tied to your resort reservation. Once that’s done you can check out, but you can’t make changes for anybody and if someone wants a different magicband later it will need to be purchased at retail is my understanding.

I ordered one of these when they first released and I just got it in the mail yesterday. Wasn’t planning on getting new bands for my trip either.

That is the 3-headed troll from the original Maelstrom ride in the Epcot Norway pavilion that was replaced with Frozen Ever After.

lol... I ordered mine too, just before I found this thread... usually I go with the low end less expensive bands, but this is so stinkin cute and I love the figures they chose.

Oh, sorry…didn’t realize that. Good news is that there are some other 50th ones for sale in the parks now, so maybe you can find one you like since your husband didn’t want one? Have a great vacation!

Thanks! I am eyeing the partner band. Hope they have them in stock! We’ll have fun either way. It was just disappointing to discover that after months of me watching for the 50th bands, the order never went through.

This band will be sold until the 50th ends, it's designated LR (Limited Release) - In other terms, sold during a specific time frame. The only products you'll never see again after sell out are LE (Limited Editions). You will find this band on all the merchandise walls in parks & resorts when things get going after Oct 1. I'm curious what it will go for then, probably $50+ ?? I'm also curious if we will actually see a 50th LE, I mean, 18months is pretty long, reminds me of Micky's 90th, that merchandise went on seemingly forever.

That's a really helpful tidbit! Does it say on the item listing if it's a LR or LE? or would it be said otherwise? It would help me decide on what I want to get sooner rather than later...
