What counts as a drink at 50s PTC?
milkshake? smoothies? float? flavored soda? or just regular soft drinks?

And there will be 3 of us (2 adults, 1 child)...it should not be a problem just to order 2 drinks, 2 adult entrees, and 2 adult desserts and just use 2 adult credits, right? (and share food with the little one)
Does it confuse servers too much to use some credits and pay OOP for some of it?

And if anyone wants to add something about the salmon or the steak that would be great too (since that is what I see us ordering);)

I've seen many reports that say that the milkshake is included as the DDP beverage. i'd assume smoothies and flavored sodas would as well.

No problem sharing plates with members of the same DDP party -- you can always order fewer meals than your card lists or people present (except at "admission" meals -- buffets, etc. -- where everyone has to pay regardless of how much they eat).

No problem mixing DDP and OOP, either. Just be sure that you're clear on which is which to your server.

As Faldred said, yes you can share the 2 adult meals and only get charged the 2 adult credits. Something to keep in mind though is that you now have a child credit left over. Do you have plans for this child credit? You can only use it for a child meal so in order to not lose it you'd have to have an extra TS meal that you pay for OOP for the adults and pay for the child's meal using the credit.

We always ordered a milk shake using the dining plan. For kids' meals the milk shake is the dessert option but for the adult meals the milk shake can be the drink option. Any of the drinks that don't include any kind of souvenir can be ordered as the drink option on the dining plan.

Servers around WDW restaurants are very used to mixing forms of payment at a single table. I would let the server know up front what you're paying for with the dining plan and what you're paying for OOP so your bill will be totally in order when you're ready to leave.

Thanks for the responses! :goodvibes

My DH only has a long weekend...but our vacation package is for 5 nights...so I think I figured correctly...10 adult TS and 5 child TS

Day 1-arrive

Day 2-everyone
Crystal Palace B-2 adult, 1 child
Ohana D-2 adult, 1 child

Day 3-everyone
Sci Fi L-OOP
50s PTC D-2 adult credits (share or order something for DS)

Day 4-DH leaves around noon
Safari B-2 adults, 1 child
Cape May D-1 adult, 1 child

Day 5-just 2 of us
Biergarten D-1 adult, 1 child

Day 6-leave

And it is legit to use some of my hubby's credits, right? He will be leaving on Monday, but he is on the room ressie and has the same tickets that we have.

You're fine. The credits belong to the reservation, not the individual.
