I made ADR there but have been told food is ok, but not great(but drinks are :thumbsup2 )
How would you categorize it?? Is it like diner food? Like frozen entree, or would you say real home cooking?
I love to cook, and make comfort food(kicked up a bit), and worry that it isnt so good. I am not thrilled with options in DHS, but thought it might be fun relaxed. We are planning early dinner there.

NOT at all like frozen food and a step above kicked up diner food. We enjoyed it! My Ds had the fried chicken and loved it I had the pot roast and loved it and the atmosphere is cool, its a must do atleast once. DH hasnt been and is wanting to go in Sept.

Despite really looking forward to this, I didn't like it. For the price, I thought the food was bad. I had meatloaf and it was terrible. Others in my group thought the food just OK. The server was funny, but in the end it just didn't cut it for us.

I agree about the DHS options for dining. While they have some good themes, the food just isn't all that good. I haven't tried Sci-Fi yet, so maybe that is better.

We like it there...it is comfort diner food...we always order the same thing, fried chicken!

I agree, really good diner food! We have had a lot of fun eating there and enjoyed the food! Another fried chicken eater here!

This pretty much sums up my feelings. The food is not gourmet, but is a step above diner food. I really enjoy the pot roast. This is one of my favorite restaurants - can't wait to eat there again this Sept.

We love it there! We like the fried chicken and the pot roast! GOOD STUFF! We make it a point to go every time we visit the world. We like to get the beef gravy over fries! YUM!

We love it there, it's one of our must do's. I had potroast, dh had fried chicken, dd had meatloaf and my picky dd had a hot dog and we were all very hapy!!

I wouldn't go there for a relaxing atmosphere.
It was very noisy. Plus our server was hard to understand
(strong accent--I guess she was a cousin from the old country).
We were a party of 3 and were seated in a large booth with
a split table (with another group of loud annoying women).
We were made to play along with them (I hated it--just wanted
to eat may lunch and get out of there as fast as I could).
I even turned down dessert to get out of there faster.
The food was not bad not great (from what we were allowed to eat--
before all the role playing started) Then they expect you to
clean your plate before you get desert--it wasn't worth it.

We really enjoy the %0's PTC. We were skeptical before our last trip. Adult DS did not want to be made fun of. But our server was just perfect. He fooled around with us a bit, but not excessively. We enjoyed it.
DS and I had the Fried Chicken for lunch and a delicious milk shake as our dessert. It was great. DH had the Pot Roast and loved it.
It is not gourmet food, but rather good "homey" food.
Enjoy

Similar comments here. The food is OK. Not bad but not great....but if (I repeat IF) you get a good server who is really into the theme and giving everyone a hard time -- it is a lot of fun and a great atmosphere. Not a quiet place but fun. It's on our can't miss list every year. I know I get the pot roast and it's pretty good. Salads and kids meals for the rest -- and great milkshakes so everyone usually leaves pretty happy.

thanks, I guess Ill give it a try. I have other places planned for a quiet meal,so I am ok with noise. The playing around part is fine, not my thing, but all in fun.

This one place I had really wanted to eat. Well we had PS and after 60 minutes of waiting we walked out!

the chicken is awesome, and the experience is great! I got the meat loaf and it was good, but not as good as the chicken.

We just ate lunch there for the first time in Feb. We enjoyed the atmosphere, but it was pretty noisy. We had a split table that we shared with a shrieking child whose parents allowed him to tantrum for at least 20 minutes.:headache: I kept praying that they would take him outside since he was disturbing everyone , but my prayers went unanswered! As for the food, it was mediocre. I would describe it as fair home-cooking. My son had a yummy milkshake, though. Also, the waiting area had a bar that looked like lots of fun. I'm not sorry that we went, but I don't think that we will return.

We absolutely love 50's Prime-Time Cafe! The food is really good...my personal favorite is the pot roast! Not only is the food good, but it's loads of fun!
