50's Primetime dinner hours??

I just called to make a PS for 50's Primetime Cafe for 7/17 and was told that the lastest dinner PS is 6:20!!! I really wanted around 6:15 or so anyway, but the latest I could get was 5:55. All later times taken already. It looks like 50's will be closing VERY early this summer, which STINKS!! MGM is open to 9:00 or 10:00 every night in July and I can't understand these reduced dinner hours!! First they close H&V for all meals and now 50's is closed effectively at 6:30!!! This is getting NUTS!!!!

Could it be that all the later time slots have already been taken?

That's crazy. I just returned and the PT was taking ressies as late as 9:00 PM during my early May visit. Usually this is one place that continues to serve even after the park closes. Maybe take the ressie and try back later.
