tell me about the malts and shakes here. alos, just to order one would you need a PS? thanks:p

hi, the shakes are excellent!!! nice and thick & creamy! If you want to get just a shake, then you might want to sit at the bar, they have a little lounge area next to the restaturant, and you ca sit there and order a drink or app.

have a great time!

Laura :)

13 days til WDW!!! yippppppeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! :) :) :)

The shakes are absolutely THE BEST at 50s Prime Time! And they are very large - it doesn't even all fit in your glass (they bring you the left over!)

50s Prime Time is a family favorite of ours - we'll be back for lunch on Dec 5! Can't wait - hope Auntie Claire is there!!!

We stopped in about a month ago and got a shake at the bar to go. It was great!

in the lounge area here at 50's primetime diner, you can order off the appetizer menu? and no PS is needed in this area, right? thanks!:p

You are Correct!:)

thanks, eeyore0062! trying to tie up these last few meals for upcoming trip. sounds like a plan!

DH LOVED them. He had peanut butter & jelly (YUCK!!!) but he swears it was excellent!!

Yes, Auntie Claire is a server there...we love her! My sister went one year, and raved about Auntie Claire...on our next trip, we had her. Last year, she helped our regular server (not sure who she was, but she went in and out of character...not good :( ). She's a kick...I think she drinks! LOL (j/k)

In the past, we also had our "sister" Cheryl (also good, but never saw her again), and our "mom" Valeria (wonderful, but never saw her there again either).

We just got back on 11/2 and went to 50's PTC twice and loved it both times. The food was excellent and the service very good. DH got a chocolate and it was so goooood! It's definately a must do for us every trip!

My wife and I are 50's PTC perennials. I think my wife goes to Disney for nothing but the shakes. FYI, she ranks PTC, Beaches and Cream, and Sci Fi as the best in Orlando. To me they all taste the same, she's the connoisseur!

A suggestion: We always go on Saturday when the lunch hour is the heaviest. Amy orders her shake from the bar and I sit on one of the fine, vintage vinyl couches. There is almost always some sort of "street theater" going on, I'm assuming to entertain guests. During our September trip, there was a male and female comedian. The guy was dressed in white undershirt and coifed with a ducktail hairdo, and the gal was in a poodle skirt and ponytail. It makes the bar and lounge area a madhouse -- and a fun one at that!
