50's Prime Time

The food here is so great, go and don't worry about it, they really can pick up on who likes to play along and who doesn't, my dh doesn't go for this kind of thing and our waitress was very low key and my dd is handicapped and she was very sweet with her making her laugh, they won't embarrass you so don't worry, the food is well worth a visit.

Please go.

We still refer to the restaurant as "Mom & Jose's" because of our first servers there 15 years ago! :rotfl:

Great experience and a LOT of fun!

My DH isn't the most outgoing person and we ALL loved 50's PTC!!! Our server wasn't very upbeat at all (she actuallys seemed shy!!--maybe she was new) so i will be requesting a more "themed cousin" on our next trip.

What we enjoyed was the atmosphere, watching the table next to us and laughing our selves to the floor, and my DD remembering all of her manners!

Oh, and I cannot close this thread without saying: ORDER THE FRIED CHICKEN!!! (no matter how good the meat loaf sounds!) My sister, DD, & DH all ordered the fried chicken and I ordered the meatloaf. well, the meatloaf was pretty good but my DH though that I must try the chicken. then he didnt want to share!!!! i offered to give up 1/2 of my meatloaf! :rotfl2:
next time i'm getting the chicken myself! i have to say that it's the best i've EVER had! :)

that place has the best service. all of my family loved it. we are all definitly going to go there again, and you shouldnt skip out on the service. that part of the expierence

I'm also very shy and like my privacy, but believe it or not, I love 50's Prime Time. We go every trip. Somehow, and I don't know exactly why, the cast members at PT find a way to bring me out of my shell - and not in a forced, uncomfortable way. I enjoy myself completely every time - and the pot roast is worth every reprimand I get for putting my elbows on the table or not finishing every last morsel.;)

Oh, and Dad's Electric Lemonade is excellent too.:thumbsup2

We went over the summer and my nephew was disappointed that our waitress didn't "harass" us enough! She didn't care if we put our elbows on the table or what kind of table manners we had. She was still really fun. I go for the fun, but you have to love the pot roast!!!!!!! :goodvibes Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water.

Yeah no worries. The servers really do pick up on the feel of the table. In December our server wasn't even close to wanting to play the role (maybe bad day). The worst thing to happen to me was when I didn't eat the greens that came with my fried chicken. A pic was taken of the server with a fork FULL of greens but that was about it. Pretty funny.

Oh and Dad's brownie is to die for and worth any embarrassment.

We had a great person in November. Mind you it was me and my 2 friends and we are not above making a spectal of ourselves. I had been there in March with 1 of my friends so I knew what was coming but my best friend had no idea. We couldn't stop laughing the whole dinner. My best friend is allergic to certain foods so the cook came out and sat down at our table and talked with her. As the waitress left the cook told us to pull her apron string and well my best friend did. So cousin Monica later and put a hat on her that said trouble and a bib. We couldn't stop laughing. And yes I did take a picture of her. Then I didn't finish my carrots and she sat down next to me and fed them too me. LOL

If you are quiet they won't bother you that much. :)
