We have a trip planned for Jan 2013 with extended family. We just hit the 180 day mark for making ADR's when my sister called to make a res for 50's prime time she was told they are not currently taking reservations due to upcoming changes. In typical Disney fashion, and I mean that in a good way that they keep things a surprise. the lady she spoke to would not/could not give any information as to what changes are being made or when we will be able to make reservations. Any ideas whats up?

i heard they're upgrading it to the 60's prime time. ok no, but in all seriousness it could be anything from a reno to an upgrade in the reservation system, the list goes on. as long as the pb&j milkshake stays there, i'm okay!

Oh I hope they don't make any major changes! That's my favorite restaurant!

I just booked for Jan 3rd at 8.00pm online so am hoping it is still open then! But I guess it will be or they wouldn't have taken my reservation

My only wish is that they make it BIGGER. We just discovered this restaurant last trip and it was a huge hit with the family. It is now a must do on every upcoming trip. It would be nice if they enlarged the waiting/bar area and added more space for tables. My kids (and hubby) have fond memories of being members of the clean-plate-club :goodvibes

We got ours the other day too. We still have no idea what the issue was but we got the ADR so I'm happy.

One of my favorite restaurants on Disney property if they change it I will be very sad.

I hope its not i love it the way it is now:dance3:

I'm pretty sure they did a reno on 50's in January '08, just to spruce it up a bit. (We looked at eating there on our trip that month & only our first day was open for ressies.) I'd lean towards another deep cleaning/sprucing session.
