Which would be the most fun for two teens 18 and 19 who are picky about their food but are first timers at WDW? I want them to have a really good time. I am considering just milkshakes at Sci-Fi and dinner at PT. Can we make an ADR at Sci-Fi just for shakes and possibly onion rings? We would pay OOP. :confused3

Having been to both, I would say probably Sci Fi. I'm a picky eater myself, and there's always the reliable cheeseburger at Sci Fi. Plus, they'll probably appreciate the atmosphere there a bit more.

Also having been to both, I would have the opposite reccommendation, for the same reason. The only thing that is *fail-safe* thyere is the burger/ fries/ shakes etc... And even those werent any better than say... Fudruckers, or even Fridays. Just not worth it IMO. PT on the other hand was great comfort food, in a fun atmosphere. (BTW, I am not a fan of sci-fi movies, but that doesnt change the actual food quality :sad2: )

I second the vote for Sci-Fi. We have been to both with teenagers. We also have very picky eaters but have no problem finding something for everyone at either place. Atmosphere at the Sci-Fi is just so much cooler for teenagers. It's fun to sit in those cars and watch silly movie clips with dim lighting. We always go at lunch.

Although I love both of these, I prefer The Sci-Fi. Prime Time is a lot of fun, but in a very loud, extra busy, sort of way, and you inter-act with other diners. The Sci-Fi is also lots of fun, but in a quieter, less busy atmosphere.
For me, the extra loud, interactive, busy sort of places do not mix well with eating. For me, The Sci-Fi is a must for every trip.

I would vote the way of 50's PT because it does cater towards "Mom's" home cooking. The rooms are done in the 50s chic style and continuous runs 50s TV shows like Leave It to Beaver, I Love Lucy, etc. The menu had like fried chicken, meatloaf, roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. Kinda' like Sunday dinners at Mom's or Grandma's.:thumbsup2
