Hi All

Would really like your opinions on the 50's Prime Time Cafe.

We have a PS for Christmas Day Lunch.
Does anybody know if there will be something like Christmas lunch on the menu?

Thanks

We enjoy the PTC the food is good and portion are huge, your experience will also be affected by server you get. Most are great cut ups and will scold you for having elbows on table and things like that.Sorry I have not dined at PTC on Christmas so I can't say they have a special menu on Christmas Day.That said I don't think so I think will be the regular menu.We loved the fried chicken and pot roast they have great milkshakes and deserts.Have a great trip and I'm sure you will enjoy your experience at the PTC.::yes:: :wave2: :goodvibes :wizard:

No clue about Christmas but they do have really great food there! Good milkshakes too! :)

The time I ate there our server was really not into it and that was a little disappointing but it seems that this is the exception and not the rule at this restaurant. Most people have delightful servers, we saw a lot of fun stuff that other servers were doing with their tables, ours just was having an off day I guess.

I would definitely go there again though. It's a really fun atmosphere and the food is Yum! :)

We ate there in October and we really weren't impressed. Our server was fun.... my chicken ceasar salad was mediocre (at BEST) and my dh didn't care for the chicken pie. My kids were happier with their food... but not over the moon. Another server (not ours) scolded my 6 year old a couple of times and Jack did NOT like it. Take into consideration all the personalities at your table..... The rest of us (dh, myself and dd13) thought it was fun, but my son didn't. I also got sick about an hour after we ate... not sure if the 2 things were connected or not.

I will say, my son has some allergies to peanuts and possibly shellfish.... the chef came out and spoke with us.... and told us what to avoid and that if Jack wanted dessert he would open new everything to make sure there was no cross contamination. We were impressed with that!

We're vegetarians -- so bear that in mind. We don't have the same choices that meat eaters do, but we think the food is pretty bad.

But it can be enough fun to make up for the food. If you get a good "family member" (CM that's into it), it can be hilarious. Mermaid02 is right about considering the personalities of your party. Our "big brother" made my nephew cry:eek: when he "punished" him for not setting the table or something like that. If everybody can take a joke (and is old enough to appreciate the joke), go for it.

Personally, this is one of my all-time favorite disney restaurants! I think the food is amazing, the setting interesting, the CM's fun. I don't know if they do anything special food-wise for Christmas, but they sure have a great menu the rest of the year!

It's a fun atmosphere and your server can make it a really entertaining experience, however, we were really disappointed with the food. We ate there a couple of years ago and it was probably the worst meal during the whole trip. I know a lot of people love it and maybe it was an off night, but we'll never go back.

We loved it and go at least 2x every trip. I have heard of folks who had not so pleasant CM experiences but I do have to say personally we have always had a great CM experience. Delicious ham sandwich with a chocolate milkshake was wonderful. I know I posted this somewhere before but last Oct. 03 we had a really great experience. Ds is autistic and any humor goes right over his head and the server understood and must have said something to the chef as we got our meal in what seemed like record time.

We ate at PTC this past June and loved it!! We thought the food was very good and Cousin Chris was a riot:rotfl:

Thank you for all your replies.

We're looking forward to it::yes::

My daughter is a Tinkerbell fanatic, she has to know how you did your signature with Tinkerbell.
Thanks,

First time we ate there, we loved it!! Loved the pot roast. Dh loved the meatloaf. We, too, had Cousin Chris and he was wonderful. What a hoot. Then when we went this past August, we asked for Cousin Chris but he was off that day. (boo, hiss). Our food wasn't as good this time. My pot roast was the same but my dh had steak and it was tough and not very tasty. Our 'family member' wasn't great. In fact, even though I had made my ps's at a time that would get us to Fantasmic on time, we barely made it!! It took our server almost 20 minutes to get our check to us, after we asked for it about 5 times. ANd then it took her awhile to get our receipt back to us to sign. So it added almost 30 minutes on. Would we go back? I'm not sure. We haven't tried SciFi yet. Maybe we'll try them next time.
