I always make a reservation for 50's Prime Time Cafe and end up canceling it, because I worry that the "show" might be to much for my Dad. My Dad would not stand for anyone trying to spoon feed him, put him in a corner, make him balance a spoon on his nose, etc., and though he wouldn't say anything while in the restaurant, I'd hear about it afterwards for taking him there if those kinds of things happened. He just wouldn't be comfortable with that much interaction, we are going to WDW again next year and I really want to try for reservations again and just hope that things go smoothly. Maybe I will have to mention to every staff member who comes in contact with us to back off on the antics and we will be okay.
If you've asked for less interaction from the staff, what do you say to them? I'd feel bad since that's their job and their normal routine, but I also don't want anyone in our party to feel uncomfortable either. I worry that if I spoke to the waitress and said "so-and-so isn't really in the mood for a lot of antics today, maybe you could go easy on that..." that they might actually go the opposite way and tease more.
