Has anyone dined at the Prime Time Cafe lately? If so, how was the food?

We had lunch there a couple of weeks ago and thought it was very good. To see what we ate, feel free to look at my TR. Nice overall experience too :thumbsup2

We dined there in early December...not that recently, but at the time it was excellent! In fact it's a "Must To" on our next trip in January.

When we go to MGM it is a must do for us. The food is good home cooked style of food, and the atmosphere is fun if you play along with your server. If you do not think you can take "Uncle Tim" or "Aunt Peg" giving you a little ribbing over having your elbows on the table or eating your veggies you may want to choose another place.

My last visit, I got the fried cheese appetizer - fried chicken dinner - and Dad's sundae dessert.

Here is a picture of DD13 who got put in the corner after talking back to "Uncle Tim" about not eating her green beans. Very Funny Memory for us all!

We were there 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Hubby and I had the meatloaf, he had onions rings for app and I gave my son my shrimp cocktail. The kids meals were chicken nuggets (they looked like frozen ones) hot dog or mac and cheese.

It is almost like a dinner show!

Thanks for your response. I enjoyed reading your trip reports. My DW and I have stayed at BWVs many times and have had a studio in that part of the building frequently. The view was very familiar. Love those loooooong hallways! The good news is, as I'm sure you discovered, it's easy to get to the bus stop via the stairs. :)

Thanks for the great pictures of the food! I especially liked the dessert. :goodvibes

We ate there just last month and overall, it was the most disappointing meal of our trip. The food was average at best though my fried chicken was pretty good. The 'experience' though was very disappointing as we had a 'waitress' who was not sociable at all...really contrasted what the whole experience is supposed to be here. We have had a couple of fun times here and this trip, we had a friend of my daughter with us and were hoping for another fun time.....NOT.....very disappointing; so much that I am sure we will not be hurrying back anytime soon.

My DW and I will have to try it on our upcoming December trip. I may have to cancel something to find a slot for lunch. If we do, I will let you know if it is stiil good. ;)

We have dined here several times, but the last time was quite a few years ago with our children who are now grown. I agree that sometimes it is more fun than others and your server can make the difference. Now that it will be just DW and I, I am hoping for good tasting "comfort" food. :)

Well, if it is just the comfort food you are seeking; you may be OK. As I indicated, the fried chicklen was good (not as good as Trails End Buffet which I think is very good) though I thought the mashed potatoes and greens were skimpy in the amount given (though tasty). My friend had pot roast which he liked though again, he felt it was a small portion. I saw the meatloaf and it was definitely a small portion.

Actually, the best comfort food I have been having on property lately has been at Boatwright's at the PO Riverside. The pot roast there is wonderful!

I love the fried cheese so much I have actually started buying it at my local grocery store and making it at home. The fried chicken is awesome and so is the pot roast.

This is a pic of my dd6 after we at there in July she didn't eat her greens and our cousin? (I can't remember her name) told her she couldn't have dessert then she came back w/ this plate and dd didn't realize what it was until I started laughing.

Must be greens under that whipped cream!

We always enjoy the food - last August we didn't have great interaction, though. Maybe cause it was just me, DS8 and DD4. We did hear people around the corner having a riot w/their server, though.

We're still going back this December, and taking my parents and grandparents, too. I think we should have a good time w/ 8 of us there. At least I hope!!

I need fried chicken and smores!!

The fried cheese and fried chicken were good. DH had a very teeny piece of meatloaf... The greens were just awful- I dont even know what the heck they were but DD11 and I got the whipped cream on the greens treatment too lol.

Desserts were yummy.

All in all, we had a lot of fun, had a great server. Wouldn't go back for the food , just the experience. Table next to us had a different server who seemed to not get into her role...I felt badly for them. Ours was a hoot! I liked that she interacted a lot with my DD11, because its easy for her little sister to get all the attention.

I was there in June and the food was really. I think I had the pot roast and inhaled it. Also had smores for dessert. Very yummy.

The server on the other hand was about the dullest server you could possibly imagine. No interaction whatsoever. He needs to move to a different restaurant. I as very disappointed in that, but the food was good. It's on my ADR's for December so I can hope we get a better server next time.
