Please tell me your thoughts about this place. I don't know much about them or how the food is. :confused3
Thanks!!!

We ate here once and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was alright. Our server played the part and didn't embarass us at all. We had a good time. As far as returning again, no. We like other places better. The only way we would go back would be to take someone who hasn't been there before. I think everyone should try it once.

We loved the place!!

Our server was middle of the road and would not embarrass you but the fun part of 50 PTC was all the other servers and their antics.

The food was good too!!

This is a must do for us! The last 2 times we were here we had great servers, but they just werent into their parts. When we go this time we are requesting a 'fun' server!

The food is like home cooked meals. The fried chicken and pot roast are delicious, and come recommended.

Have a good time, we always do!

We were pleasantly surprised when we went there in 2002. Food was much better than Sci-Fi, IMHO, which we visited in 2000. It may not be haute cuisine but we found it to be just fine.

Our server was middle-of-the-road, but it was fun to see other diners at the sharp end of things :p. I'm hoping a real ticking-off for not eating my veggies next time ;)

Decor was fun but not quite as unusual as Sci-Fi.

I had read so much about it, it was something we really wanted to experience, and we did. Im glad we did. Would we go back? No, probably not. It wasnt really something we get into, but definitely try it. At least once. :)

we loved it! We went on the Disney Dining Plan so we had a lot of food. I think we got the spinach dip and the seafood dip appetizer, and I had the salmon for the entree while my fiancee had the meatloaf and for dessert he had the "Dad's super big sundae" and I had the angel food cake with berries. The appetizers were so so but we also had drinks which made the experience even more fun. The entree and the deserts were very good and we definately plan to go back! Definately take this restaurant over the Sci Fi, Hollywood and Vine or Mama Melrose's!

We ate at 50's PT last week and it was one of our favorites of the week! The food was good (DH and I had the Pot Roast, DS had the Fried Chicken, and DD had Chicken Fingers). We had a great server who really got into the role - when my DH went to the men's room he came over and asked us if he was in the potty - when we said "yes" he walked over to the bathroom door and shouted to him was he OK or did he fall in? Of course when my DH got back to the table everyone in our small room started to laugh. Then I didn;t finish all my green beans and he fed them to me while making airplane noises - our kids thought it was great to see Mom and Dad embarassed! I think you have to go with the idea of just having fun - We would go back since the whole family enjoyed it.

Fun times! Good food and I intentionally acted up so as to be chatised by our server - and man it worked! I think you need to have a pretty outgoing personality to really enjoy the antics - I know my kids enjoyed watching dad get in trouble! :lmao:

Love the place! The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and sting beans are the best (sorry mom) and the smores is a great dessert. DH is a shy person and he loves the atmosphere at the 50's...he banters back with the wait staff! The bar area is great and so are the specialty drinks.

My new hubby and I did it on our honeymoon (July 2006) and it was one of our favourite meals of the trip! We didn't get harrassed much (I guess they thought they'd leave the honeymooners to be all moony). We did see some others get teased and such, but everyone seemed to take it all in stride.

We were on the dining plan so there was TONS of food. The onion rings as an appetizer were really tasty...tho we weren't too crazy about the breaded cheese (hint...it isn't cheese sticks like we thought it would be). We both had the pot roast dinner with veggies and mashed potatoes...YUMMMYYYY!!! Oh...my mouth is watering just thinking about it and I won't be able to get back to WDW until at Sept. 2007 at the absolute earliest *cry* (Sometimes I regret moving to Australia *sigh*)

We also had dessert. Hubby had one of the Super Sundaes and polished it off lickety-split! I ordered the smores and they were SOOOOOO rich I could only eat half of it!!!!

I also recommend Grandma's Picnic Punch (or whatever it's called). It was FABULOUS!!!!! And my little niece loved the glowing ice-cube that I took home for her.

The fried chicken also looked good...as did the meatloaf.

This is another must do for us. We love the atmosphere and reallylike the food. We always have a good time when we're there and love the CM.

The pot roast is the best I've ever tasted anywhere. I'm dreaming about eating there next month. It will be a new adventure for my DH and DS. I can't wait.

Thank you for all of your help!! It sounds like all of you had a good time there. We hope to have as much fun in June. :yay: :cool1:

We just came back on the 19th, of our 7 TS meals that is the only one getting requests(demands) from everyone for our next trip. Last year we did Sci Fi, and it recieved no requests.

Considering we are a party of seven and it being unanimous...

I know a lot of people love it, we went there for lunch once before and really enjoyed it, went for dinner this past August, and were not thrilled, our server was OK, the food was just so-so, might be because it was very hot out, and fried chicken and meatloaf really did not appeal to us, what really turned us off, our waitress was cleaning the table next to us, 6 people with a lot of food left over on their plates, and she kept stacking their dirty plates on our table, I know that it is all in good humor, but that actually bothered both of us, it was not fun just gross.
The kids did enjoy it, and had typical kids food.

This is a must dine for me on every trip. Have always had great food and service there. I enjoy their fried chicken and the milk shakes are wonderful. I love the decor in here too. Some of the items remind me of things I used to see in my grandmother's house.

We love eating at 50"s Primetime. We have dined there many times and always enjoyed our dinners. The fried chicken dinner is great. We split the smores desert on our last trip and it was fantastic. :)

we enjoyed the overall experience. The food was OK and the server was really funny. She was like your Mom. She made me set the table(really) and got on me about my elbows on the table. She had the kids laughing at me. I would say you need to go at least once.
