We have reservations for the 50's Prime Time Cafe in November. Has anyone been there recently? Do the waitresses still "Act Like Mom." I'm hoping that they still do that, our group is would play along.:rotfl:

My family and I have had lunch there two different times and on both occasions all the Cast Members were very much into their character.

I was there the last week in Aug and it was good food & good fun :cool1:

DH and I just ate there for the first time last week, and the "Act Like Mom" thing kind of worried us but we had a GREAT time!
There were waitors/waitresses that really played the part, but we had "Uncle Dale" and he was great. Not too over the top! Just right for us first timers! :thumbsup2

We were there last December and, like others have already said, the CM's were very much into it. My wife spilled part of her shake and we really felt like we were back at Mom's! It is a lot of fun.

We had dinner there in late July and it was awesome! Aunt Claire did an amazing job as our waitress and it was truly a highlight of our trip. We're going back for lunch this Christmas and can't wait to go "home" to "Mom's"!:goodvibes

Remember, you don't really get to see "Mom" too much. She is in the kitchen cooking as usual. And "Dad", he is off golfing most of the time as well.

We were there in March, and it was amzingly fun. We were a big group, so we had two servers. One table had a crabby old aunt ( didn't catch her name ), and cousin Tabitha.

We ate there on Monday night and it was fantastic! You dont' get to see "Mom" as she's in the back cookin' but your 'cousin' will be your server.
The food was quite good. I had the fried chicken and it was awesome! I even at the the collared greens and they were great and I don't even LIKE collared greens!
The staff was all in character and a lot of fun.
Oh and Dad's Brownie is out of this world good (super sweet).

Oh, and just a tip. Ask for corn if you don't like the greens, they will substitute. We love Cousin Mark, he's a hoot!:rotfl2:

I can't wait to try 50's PT for the first time in November. It sounds like a lot of fun!

I've been in there, but I'll be going for dinner for the first time next month. Looking forward to it!!!!

i'm taking dh for the first time in 5 wks...i can't wait.

We just ate there about 2 weeks ago. This is one of my favorite places to eat - our server/"cousin" was great! I love the 50's theme, the food is good & it's just an overall fun place to eat.

Yes, and although our server wasn't "into the act" we still enjoyed our meal. Next time, we'll ask for a better server.

We ate there about 2 weeks ago and our server was great! She was 100% into her role and everyone ate their veggies! :lmao: :thumbsup2
