50bear wants to say hi to EVERYONE !

so happy to see that you posted again :goodvibes i was a bit worried that you would turn, and run for the hills after all the "bru haha"

i was not a bit offended by your post, and thought that it was very well written, and made perfect sense. i hope that you and yours, have a chance to meet others from your denomination. i am sure it will be interesting to compare the differences.

have a wonderful trip full of pixie dust!!

Welcome to the Dis 50bear!! Your family sounds delightful. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful time at Disney! :wave2:

:hourglass okay, we've now reached the teens.....

I'd love to meet any or al of you. We live here and can do most any Friday or Saturday. Let me know! We are pretty flexible since we live here and go all the time.

Hi there!! It was actually taken at Epcot in the United Kingdom. We happened to take a stroll down one of the back paths and there were the characters from Winnie the Pooh! No one was there so the characters took their time with the kids. In the picture, Eeyore was actually sitting on the ground tickling my DS! :flower:

Hey, don't worry about being "peely wally". I'm sure we could give you a run for your money in that department! We're a family of blond haired, blued eyed, pale skinned people - and we believe in HUGE amounts of sunscreen lotion. :sunny:

I seriously hope you have a fabulous time and I hope you get the chance to meet many wonderful people - from all religions and walks of life.

Enjoy your special vacation. :flower: Be sure to post a few pictures when you get back.

Short hijack but GEM, I haven't seen you post in a bit (or we just aren't running in the same threads LOL) but WOW, has Paul Grown! He looks so grown up!

Hi

Wow! I really admire your restraint and patience! I'm not so sure I could have restrained myself from engaging in some *heated* responses on that thread but that would have served no good purpose. I think it's great that you hung in there and started a fresh thread. :)

It's really nice that you want to meet like-minded folk at WDW. I hope it works out and that you have some great times with lots of people.

Just one thing though..... you're a RANGERS fan? Pfffft! And you were doing so well.......... :rotfl2:

We'll be there in June and we're on the short-list for the "peely walliest" family to ever set foot in Florida and stop complaining - you get at least 10 days a year of sunshine in Scotland - we only get 9 here (Ireland) :rotfl: (Seriously, I'm getting really sick of throwing out nearly-full bottles of sun screen every September, we could make do here with the free sample sachets!!).

Have a terrific holiday!

You didn't have to defend yourselves! Some people overreact to everything. I am not a Christian and I was not offended in any way by your original post! Wanting to meet like-minded families is totally understandable! As long as you are willing to give those different from yourselves a chance once in a while (which clearly you are), it is perfectly fine to reserve other times for people you have much in common with. WE ALL DO IT! ::MickeyMo
I think you have shown a lot of class with this new post. :wizard: Best of luck to you on your vacation...I wish we were going so soon, but alas, we must wait for November! ;)

I couldn't agree more. While I am a "devout Catholic" my best friend despises anything to do with religion, in particular the Catholic religion. I was saddened and embarrassed by the questionable post (not yours). I'm sorry your visit to the Dis made you feel bad. On the up side I'm sure your trip will be uphill from here.

We just got back and unfortunately won't be there but here's wishing you a most magical and wonderful vacation! May you meet up with many children as chatty ...oops I mean as "friendly" as mine would be if they were going to be there. They struck up so many conversations with so many people from all over the world while we were there! I hope the earlier "debate" doesn't give you a negative opinion about Disney lovers. In two trips, I've seen one person behaving obnoxiously. 99% of people there are sooo happy, it truly is the happiest place on Earth and I wish you all the best! Whether you make plans to meet up with people or not, you will surely meet some truly wonderful people there. We always do! Sending Love, Prayers and Pixie Dust your way,
Liz

All's well that ends well!!

TC - We'll see you on Thursday night (26th)!! Looking forward to meeting you and your beloved!

Vicki
