I keep hearing about a $500 gift card with a reservation? Could someone please let me know more about this offer?

We recently received a pin code with an offer of about $600 per person for 5 nights plus park tickets and then a $500 gift card when we check in. Unfortunately, we cannot take advantage of this offer. We hope to go to WDW again in January, and another pin code would be great!

We recieved this offer in an email pin code. Luckily for us, we were already planning a trip, so we just called our travel agent and applied the code. Now, we have $500 to spend on food and trinkets!

28 more days!

I had also received this email pin code maybe 6 weeks+ ago. We already have a trip booked for Oct, and airfare is so high, that I gave up on getting that offer. I would have liked to have used it this week. (Our spring break is now)
It was interesting that the day after I ordered my "Custom Maps" from Disney,
Is when I got this email pin code from Disney Destinations.;)

If you werent send the code either via email or snail mail you cant use it...

Wow, that's amazing. Hope you will have a great time and wonderful trip. Looking forward in hearing from you.

Have a nice day and safe trip coming. :)

Anyone know if this is still working to pay off your room tab (ie. food and drink billed to your room)

I never got a card or email, but I called CRO and asked if there was a code attached to my name. I got the $500 gift card, hooray! This ends up saving us more than the AP rate.

The gift card can be used for Disney dining, so I guess it would exclude restaurants such as Rainforest, etc.

The CM advised me to always ask about codes, glad I did.

Newbie question here... can you explain your post a little further for those of us who feel completely in the dark?

We visited last year and rebooked while in our room using the provided "must book before checkout" discount flyer for this year in Sept/Oct. I called yesterday to confirm our trip and actually received a slight discount since the prices yesterday for our package were a bit less than they were a year ago while staying at the POP.

But I'm CLUELESS about the code you and others have been talking about. Please shed some light into my dark corner... :flower3:

If you have a code attached to your name for the 500 dollar card, can it be used when booked for the 4/3 deal? I'm wondering if I should call and inquire about a code? I have never ever received any noticifcation of codes or pins, I wonder why?

The code they are talking about for the $500 gift card is not publicly available. It is a pin code which means Disney sent them an email or card in the mail giving them this non-transferable offer. Pin code offers are ONLY good for those they are addressed to and can not be transferred. There is a sticky at the top of the page that explains pin codes.

Many thanks! I'll go find that sticky...

You can only use one discount per room. So if you have the 4/3 deal... thats all you can have.... if you have the $500 code.... thats all you can have.... no double discounts....

I called yesterday to make reservations for May. I asked if there were any pin codes attached to my name (as I have never received one by email or snail mail) and they said yes. It was the $500 gift card upon check in. We are a party of 5 (3 adults + 2 teenage girls) so we were going with POR, but upon taking to the disney agent we got 2 rooms at Pop and 2 gift cards instead. So if you are planning on going it is definetly worth asking about.

I guess you do have to buy at least a 1 day pass as well with this offer. Is that true, it was with the pin in the mail. Thanks!

I have no idea where the pin came from. The disney agent seemed to be mumbling some 3 letter code (something like KEL). I booked 6 nites and 5 day base tickets. I imagine you must buy tickets but I do not know for sure.

Thanks. We did get a 16 digit pin in the mail and do have APs that expire mid May. We were thinking of maybe going since if we could just get the 1 day, keep it for the future to upgrade and use the 500 for food. Have a great time!

Its actually a package. From the email: "free $500 gift card when you purchase this 5-night 6 day package that includes room and Theme park tickets. $594 per adult based on adult double occupancy in a standard room at select Disney value resorts. For most stays Sun-Thur. 3/1/09-4/16/09"

Yes, on the card we received it talks about a pass for the length of stay, I guess I was wondering if, like the FD offer, you could just get the 1 day since we have an AP. My card basically says what your email says. Thanks.

you only have to book at least a 1 day park ticket...

the pin goes:

3 nights 300 gift card
4 nights 400 gift card
5 nights 500 gift card

those are the only days/numbers i've seen for this gift card. i also think it ends at the beginning of june.

we're going with it at the end of this month for 5 nights! you pay full price for the room though, so basically, with another code (like free dining) you get the same money, but it just goes towards dining instead, whereas this is towards anything (as i was told by 2 cms on the phone)

she said food, drink, merchandise, tickets, anything...
