Losing 50 lbs only took 5 months. I did have to control my portions and add more veggies and fruits, but that's really the only changes to my meals. I enjoy exercising but I only have time for walking these days....however, it's doing the job!
Dieting just takes time, pre-thinking meals, exercise, good sleep, de-stress!
