So I have booked the weirdest Disney trip ever. We are tent camping in the fort (that sounds rough but we glamp more than we camp). I didn't get park tickets, we have been so many times. So basically we are soaking up the surroundings, swimming a lot, and having a very mellow sort of trip.

If you had $50 to spend for lunch/dinner on property but not in a park, what would you get? We are two adults and a kid. We drink water, we don't do desserts. We often share things to try more stuff.

Thanks!

I would maybe go to Mara at AKL I know it is a CS, but we like the food and there is lots of thing to do at AKL. Kona at Poly great choice, Beaches and Cream at BC.

We love Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge then you can go and see the animals.

My other vote is Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. The staff is very fun and interactive.

Your trip sounds fun and relaxing!

Sannaa (AKL) for lunch. Kids' menu items are $9. Adult sandwiches are $16-$18. 10% discount with Disney Visa for lunch only. Great atmosphere and a good excuse to visit the resort.

Sanaa
Beaches and Cream
Art of Animation (probably an unnecessarily long trek from FW but I love their surf and surf sandwich)
Wolfgang Puck Express

What do you like at Mara? We love visiting AKL.

Ok Sanaa is on the list, maybe Mara too :) we will have a car, I don't mind driving to resorts.

BBQ chicken Flatbread, they had some pitas that were good and a little different than typical CS. Soups a couple of soups. Of Course they had Zebra Domes

I would take a trip over to Gaylord Palms and have dinner there. I am not sure if they still have the ShrekFeast? '

They have a nice restaurant Villa de Flora. If you go, make sure you have the restaurant validate your parking.

I would also consider going to City Walk (yes, I know it's Universal) but they have many great places to eat, walk around, and enjoy the atmosphere. I like the evening atmosphere with the street performers and musicians that are not always there during the day. I actually like City Walk better than Disney's Boardwalk.

We have also visited the Fort (in a cabin) and have not went into any parks.

Raglan Road
The Wave
Kona Café
Sanaa
And offsite, we like Giordanos off 535. We can't get Chicago-style pizza where we live so it's a fun dinner for us.

Crews cup lounge at YC is our favorite best kept secret. Also ale and compass has some tasty items. Then you can take a walk around the lake or rent bikes.

not so strange.... I'm doing the same next week! (well not the fort, but otherwise similiar) we plan to just relax and eat,and relax! for $50,maybe Sanaa, any of the resort qs places can be fun, like at the Poly,or Contemperary, I'm not sure b/c our budget isn't $50 per meal, and my guys like buffets,so we're doing Boma,Trails End,the Wave for breakfast, etc. Gonna try Sanaa for the first time also- there are also fun options at Disney Springs, I believe, like the bowling alley,Cookes of Dublin, etc etc-Have fun!

Citywalk does have an admission price and a parking fee if you are not staying at a Universal Resort or have Universal admission tickets.

Trails End buffet at the fort or wolfgang puck's express in Disney Springs
Trails End also offers the bucket of chicken to go--the mashed potatoes are great @$20.

Parking fee yes, admission price no. There is not an entrance or admission fee at all for City Walk. Perhaps, if you want to go into a club there is a door fee like any club in any city.

If you are willing to go off property, Cafe TuTu tango is good. you can see the menu on line and happy hour has some 1/2 price apps.

I would second these choices! Maybe add Raglan Road.

If you like ribs, you can consider the food court at POFQ -- both Port Orleans resorts are very walkable, or you could take a boat ride from there to Downtown Disney.
