50 Animated Movies Challenge **I Did It!!**

Hello Everyone,

It's time to update my progress. I just finished watching Bambi:love:. Such a wonderful movie. Up next is Saludos Amigos. Netflix has the movie together with The Three Cabelleros. It should be here today. I have not watched either one before so it should be fun.

I making my way through the list. I still have 165 days, hopefully I can watch all 50 before December 7th.

Jodi

Great idea! of the 50 I have not watched -

Make Mine Music
Fun and Fancy Free
Melody Time
Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh

We own all except Pooh (sorry but I don't like anything Pooh related) and Melody Time.

We tend to watch Disney movies all the time but usually the newer ones - we watched Hercules yesterday, one of my favorites! - and DD is more of a Pixar kid. But I'll try to get her to watch them all with me :goodvibes

We watched Bambi yesterday, so we are caught up now since that was the one we skipped. We don't own 8 - 11 and we are headed to wdw Monday, so it will be a while before we get thru those one at a time on netflix, but we own the 10 after that, so I think we should be half way by early august. Of course make mine music isn't available on Netflix like the op mentioned, so we'll have to keep looking for that one!

I've made good progress on my challenge so far. It's been a productive movie watching weekend but my house is a mess :lmao:. So far I've watched:

Bambi
Saludos Amigos
The Three Caballeros
Make Mine Music

I've discovered that I'm not a huge fan of the movies that are compliations of short stories. I have a couple more of those to watch. :happytv: Next up on the list:

9. Fun and Fancy Free
10. Melody Time
11. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Just watched Fun and Fancy Free :happytv: I wasn't too excited to watch it as I haven't really enjoyed the other movies of this type. It was a compliation of different shorts. I was surprised that I really enjoyed this one. I really enjoyed Mickey and the Beanstalk. It brought back some great memories of watching it when I was younger.

9 down 41 more to go :)

I'll have to add those to the end of my list. I just saw Cars 2 yesterday :goodvibes It was a great movie.

I watched a couple of movies today. One was ok and the other one was AWESOME!!!

I watched #10 on my list "Melody Time". It was ok not my most favorite. I also watched HP and the Deathly Hallows Part II. It was a great movie. It was sad in parts and there was a lot of tears in the movie theater. From me and from others in the audience.

I can't wait to attend the WWoHP Party in December!!!:woohoo:

Up next on my challenge is "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad". Netflix should get it to me next week. I've never seen either of these movies so I hope I enjoy them.

Ichabod is one of my favs! I show it every year to my students during Halloween week. :thumbsup2

This is such an exciting challenge, I think. Going through the Disney catalog (and the Pixar catalog, and then the live-action movies throughout the years) is time-consuming, I'm sure, but it's also a lot of fun. I've seen, out of the 50--well, 51 counting the new Winnie the Pooh movie--all but Dinosaur, Home on the Range, Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Lilo and Stitch, and Emperor's New Groove. Basically, from when I was in high school and college, I avoided Disney a bit.

I'm hoping to see Atlantis later this year, but of the ones I haven't seen, I feel worst about Lilo and Stitch, only because everyone who's seen it loves it (and the characters are really popular in the parks).

I think I will join in on this we have just set adage or our next trip and it's not until 12/4/2012 so that gives us plenty of time. :rolleyes1:

I just watched Ichabod and Mr. Toad. :happytv: I really enjoyed it. :goodvibes I can see that it would be awesome to show to your students. If I was still teaching kids I would totally show it every year too. I teach adults now, they would love to watch it, but their bosses (and mine) might not appreciate it too much :rotfl: Maybe someday when I can afford to teach elementary school I'll get to watch it every year :)

I just finished watching the 12th movie "Cinderella". princess: It's one of my all time favorites. Gus Gus is my favorite. He makes me laugh everytime I see him.

Up next....."Alice in Wonderland" :happytv: I'm not sure that I've ever seen this movie. I've seen clips of it but if I've seen the whole thing I don't remember it.

It should be here tomorrow from Netflix. :woohoo:

With a little over four months until my trip I hope I can find the time to watch all of the 39 movies that are left. :rotfl:

My ds did not want to watch Alice at all! We might try again after ww watch mr toad that should be here from Netflix tomorrow! That will put us back on track to watch in order. It'll also let me cancel netflix since we own the next 15 or so on the list!

I've watched a couple more movies since I last updated. I watched Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Both were pretty good movies.

I'm embarrased to say that I've never seen either one of them before. I thought I was a huge Disney fan and would have sworn that I had seen most of the 50 movies but this challenge has proved me wrong. I would say that I've seen very few of the movies on the list. I have seen most of the movies made in the early 90s but that's about it.

I'm hoping by December I will be able to say that "Yes, I've seen all 50 of the Disney animated movies and all of the Pixar movies".

Up next......Lady and the Tramp :happytv:

Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies. I discovered when I started watching all the movies that I had three copies of it. I had the VHS, the DVD, and I bought it when it came out on Blu-ray. I even have the Christmas Movie that came out.
