Our DS is 6 next month and he is not small for his age by any means. We are going to bring a stroller. I thought about not lugging one to FL (from CA) but the cost of renting one over our long trip makes the hassle worth it.
We do DL a lot and it can be a godsend! Sure it's easy to say that when a kid is tired you should just leave the parks but it's more than just being tired. A stroller does give them a space of their own and a place to relax. We have found our family enjoys the day more when we have the option to use the stroller. We don't always need it but it's nice to have it there when we do, not just for your kid but for the parents too.
Anyone who has tried to carry a child in 90 degree heat knows what I am talking about!
