5-year-old on Space Mountain? Dinosaur? Mission Space?

I've seen kids who APPEARED to be that age enjoying themselves on all those rides. HOWEVER, I do share others' caution about Space Mountain. It is in the dark, and you can't sit beside anybody. So even a little kid who likes the thrilling aspects of most coasters may find those elements intimidating. As with most things, it depends on your individual kid and the particular things he finds stressful.

My four year old loved BTMRR and Splash. She thought Dinosaur was ok. She hated ToT. She was too short for Space Mtn. and EE. I dislike MS so I didn't take her on that one.

The only NO from me would be Mission Space. Even on the mild side it is known to cause nausea worse than the rest. You don't want to battle the rest of the day battling that. Also, it is totally different in the way it closes in around you. Definitely hit BTMR or 7DMT before space mountain so he has some lead up.

My son rode SM for his first time at 7. He was too short at 5. He sat in front of me and I couldn't see his head when he was seated. I didn't know if he was still with us until the ride ended. He did like it though.

Oh, I forgot about doing other rides to be sure he understands sitting maturely if you aren't going to be able to sit with him. I got on Spash Mountain with a 9yr old who stood up at the crest of the hill.

My 3 year old loved Splash Mountain and BTMR in June. Her favorite was Dinosaur although her 7 year old sister and 12 year old brother said they never wanted to go on it again.
