For those with kids in the 5-6 year old range...what were their favorite rides at each of the parks? My DD is gung ho on doing every ride she is tall enough to go on (and that mom says ia appropriate of course ;) ) I also have an almost 3 year old so any feedback on what that age group loved is great too ! thanks !

What they say is their favorite seems to change every day but here is my opinion on what they enjoyed the most, they aren't all rides but rather popular attractions.

MGM:
Playhouse Disney
Fantasmic! (questionable for 3 year old depending on how she is with loud noises etc)

Epcot:
Journey into Imagination
Spaceship earth
Soarin'

Animal Kingdom:
Kali River Rapids
Triceratops Spin

MK:
Splash Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
Tomorrowland Speedway
Peter Pan
Carousel

There were a ton of other things they enjoyed but those are what I think were the highest ranked for them!

Here are my 5 year old dd's favorites...and they haven't changed much since she was 2 or 3.

MK--Cinderella's carousel, dumbo, Peter Pan, Teacups, meeting the Princesses, Transit Authority, Spectromagic parade

Epcot--Soarin', Mexico boat ride, Nemo ride, playing in the water sprinklers

MGM--we often skip this park but when we do go she wants to see Playhouse Disney and Voyage of the Little Mermaid

AK--T-Top Spin, Pocahontas show

DD5's favorites:

Magic Kingdom: Everything in Fantasyland, but ESPECIALLY Small World (we rode 5 times :scared1: ) and Philharmagic. She also LOVED Jungle Cruise, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, and the highlight of our entire vacation for her was Spectromagic.

EPCOT: Soarin' (of course!), Living with the Land, La Gran Fiesta Tour with the Three Caballeros, and her favorite of all EPCOT was Spaceship Earth. We couldn't walk past it without her begging to go on...again.

Animal Kingdom: We didn't do much because DS is 1 1/2, limits us here. The obvious favorite is the safari. She also hasn't stopped talking about Dinosaur, which is pretty hilarious as she saw NOT A SINGLE THING in there as she hid under my arm the first time and DH's arm the second ride!

MGM: We didn't make it here. This is another hard park for us due to all the shows, DS just can't sit for them.

Have fun!

When DD was a brand new 6 yr old, her faves were:

MK- It's A Small World, Dumbo, Pooh, Jungle Cruise, Aladdin's Magic Carpets, PotC, Tiki Room, TTA, Buzz Lightyear, meeting the characters, and the afternoon parade

Epcot- Living with the Land, Imagination, Spaceship Earth, and World Showcase, especially the Kidcot stations (The Seas with Nemo, Turtle Talk w/Crush, and Soarin' weren't open yet, but she would have loved them at that age)

MGM- TGM, Star Tours, Muppets 3D, Honey I Shrunk the Kids set, and meeting characters (she never did Playhouse Disney Livebut she probably would have liked it)

AK- Triceratops Spin, the Boneyard, Kilimanjaro Safari, the Animal trails, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Camp Minnie-Mickey, and Festival of the Lion King (the Finding Nemo show wasn't there yet, but she would have liked it)

Our daughter will be 5 in July - roughly 42 inches tall. Her favorites this past April:

Magic Kingdom - Big Thunder Railroad, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Tom Sawyers Island, LOL. (Yes, she loved shooting the guns at thr fort as much as anything)

Epcot - Test Track was #1, Soarin a very close 2nd

MGM - Star Tours and the Little Mermaid show

Animal Kingdom - The Safari - and she HATED the fact that she was too short to to Everest. She's hoping to grow 2 inches by our next trip in August, LOL. She also liked, although she was scared, DINOSAUR.

My 5 year old loved every ride at Disney but these are her all time favorite rides from each park (in her words) that she wants to do again when we arrive in a few short weeks.

MK:
- Buzz Lightyear
- Goofy Barnstormer
- It's A Small World - Splash Mountain
- Peter Pan
- Dumbo
- Aladin's Magic Carpet Ride

Epcot:
- Soarin
- Test Track (just a little bit, not the part when it goes too fast)\
- Figment ride
- Haven't done Nemo and friends yet because it was closed the last time we were there but she knows that will be on her list too because she loves Dory.

MGM:
- Playhouse Disney Live
- Beauty and the Beast

AK:
- Triceratop Spin
- The Safari ride (Kilamonjaro Safari)

As for my DD3 she loved everything that her older sister loved except TT and Soarin since she was not tall enough to go on at the time, this upcoming trip, however, she will be able to ride

My child loves Barnstormer!

She enjoyed everything in Fantasyland. We had to ride the Carosel and Small World several times.

Her favorite activity was shopping and trying on funny hats. :confused3

Well my five year old must be a thrill seaker compared to the other mentioned above but here are his favs.

MK
Big Thunder Mountain
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
Haunted Mansion
Pirates

Epcot
Mission Space (Green Side as I will not let him try the other side yet)
Test Track
Soarin

MGM
Tower of Terror
He was a 1/4 of an inch too short so no Rockin Roller Coaster
Star Tours
The Great Movie Ride

AK
Safari
Dinosaur about 10 times
EE

if you plan to visit islands of adventure, they have a great pakr for little ones.

We're just back, and the ride DS4 (who will be DS5 in 9 days) talks about the most is Goofy's Barnstormer at MK.

FWIW, his most-hated ride was probably Dinosaur at AK.

Just back from my kids' first trip ever to Disney. DD is 5 and not afraid of much, but the Barnstormer really did her in on those last tight turns through the barn (although I have to give her credit for going back to try it a 2nd time while my DS age 9 refused). Here are her favorites:

MK: Cinderella's Carousel, Dumbo, IASW, Teacups, Haunted Mansion
Epcot: Soarin', Maelestrom, Spaceship Earth
MGM: Great Movie Ride
AK: Kali River Rapids, Triceratops Spin, Safari

Oh - my dd (6) is not a thrill seeker like the other pps kids. Her favorites are:

MK:
Characters
Peter Pan
Pooh
Tea CUps
Carousel (SP?)
Dumbo
Magic Carpet ride

She will tolerate to please mom (but really has a good time -mind you I nver force her she will say mommy I want to go on x for you!): HM, pirates, jungle cruise

AK:
Characters
Pocohantas Show
Lion King SHow
Triceratop Spin
The Safari
Wild life train
the animal trails
the boneyard
the osasis

MGM:
Characters
movie ride
The Voyage of the little mermain
Beauty & The Beast
Fantasmic
The Narnia exhibit (she has a thing for the white witch)
The backlot tour

Epcot:
Characters
Turlte Talk with crush
Kidcot stations
walking the WS

We spend a lot of our time with the characters, watching shows, parades and fireworks. This is what really makes her happy.

When I was six (somehow I remember all those years ago) I loved just about everything at DL. I think I went on everything. I was actually 6.5 years though.

These are my 6yo DD's favorites:

MK:
Big Thunder Mtn
Buzz Lightyear
Carousel
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh
Barnstormer
Teacups
Tomorrowland Speedway

EPCOT:
Test Track (her all time fav)
KIDCOT stops
Turtle Talk with Crush
Figment

MGM (there aren't many rides she likes here, mostly shows):
Star Tours
Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground
Voyage of the Little Mermaid show
Beauty and the Beast show
Fantasmic

Animal Kingdom:
Safari
Kali River Rapids
Triceratops Spin
Boneyard (could have spent HOURS digging here!)
the playground in the dino area
Lion King show

She's not a fan of BIG drops so things she DIDN'T like were:
Tower of Terror (rode for 1st time when she had just turned 5 & I can't convince her to try again yet)
Splash Mtn
Dinosaur freaked her out as well, I think mostly cause we got stuck on it for about 10 minutes in the dark

My son is 5 and his are

MK : Big Thunder and Space Mountain

Epcot: Spaceship Earth, Test Track, and he loves making the robots in Innoventions

AK: Kali River Rapids and Dinosaur

MGM: meeting the power rangers was his #1 favorite last time because he was really into them at the time, Playhouse Disney Live, he has not rode TOT because his mama is too chicken :rotfl2: that is the exact feeling I try to avoid on roller coasters, however we will do Rockin Rollercoaster when he is tall enough

At MGM my son really enjoyed the Backlot Tour.

At Magic Kingdom, his favorite was Goofy's rollercoaster (cant remember the name) but he also enjoyed Peter Pan, the car one (cant remember that one either), Pirtates of the Caribbean and the Jungle Cruise.

At Animal Kingdom, he liked the Kilamanjaro Safari. We didnt go on the rapids cause it was kinda chilly that day.

Just wanted to add that the Boneyard at AK was another huge winner for DS4. He dug in the sand for about 45 minutes while DW and DD7 rode EE.
