That's probably true... but I thought that after the fact comment from the judge was really bone-headed.

I think he tried to explain that the request came as a faxed document with little to no details, and that's why he denied the request.

But yes, it does sound a little lame, after the fact . . .

I heard about this when I dropped my DD off at school. I gave her a extra hug before I left. It's so sad. The little girl was so brave. My DD is the same age and very bright but I don't think she'd be able to hold it together like that.

Did her father survive? It breaks my heart that she may have lost both her parents in such a senseless way.

As far as her being naked, a lot of kids go through that phase.

That poor family. What a terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to that little girl who has to grow up without her parents. Such a sad situation.

PS. When she was a preschooler my dd used to call herself naked (well, nakie) when she only had her underwear on too, lol. That's because I would ask her what she was doing running around here half naked when I'd see her like that.
