This is VERY sad, But I have to ask... and I sooooooooooooo do NOT mean this in the wrong way.... BUT...... umm why was this child naked ???? It just struck me as odd because when my son was 5 he loved his PJs.. Did it strike anyone else as odd ???

I actually thought at first it was going to be another Hoax..911..call..because the 5 year old was so smart..

Maybe the girl was in one of those phases where they strip a lot. Who knows?

They played the whole tape on the Abrams Report tonight on MSNBC, what that little girl heard and saw, I don't think I could handle it as an adult and she was so collected. Abrams was almost in tears, you could hear it in his voice.

The thing that bugged me was the detective saying she was doing ok and at her age she doesn't understand it all, she sure sounded like she was understanding what was going on. That poor baby! I'm sure it was hard for the dispatcher and officers also.... what a sad situation. :sad1:

That is so sad.
Maybe she didn't have clothes on because she accidentally wet herself or something and then went looking for her mom to help her and then called 911. Just an idea.

I couldn't imagine how terrified she'd be. That is horrible.

How very, very sad for this little girl... it breaks my heart.

My first thought while reading it was that since the parents did feel threatened by this man that they had probably gone over a few safety things with the little girl, which is probably why she did such a good job with the 911 call. They had likely practiced with her what to do.

I heard the call last night on our Toronto radio station. The poor child was so calm and matter-of-fact it was amazing. Poor little thing. I don't agree that she doesn't understand, she certainly seemed extremely intelligent in the 911 call. Has anyone heard what happens to her now? Does she have relatives that will take her?

I read the transcript and don't even want to hear the call. The 911 operator handled it perfectly. I hope she gets recognized for it.

My 5 year old loves to sleep in just her undies when it's warm out. She often calls herself naked when she sleeps like that.

Such a sad and tragic happening. It sounds as though she has a lot of family available to help her, that's of some comfort to me.

I heard part of this on Good Morning America. What an incredibly smart, brave, and intelligent child!!!! She did better in giving information to the 911 dispatcher than most adults would have in similar circumstances.

They reported on GMA that Tia has a large extended family and is being cared for my them.
