5%off Disney GC at Target?

This all sounds like a great deal but aren't the GCs limited to $50? That means I would need 600 GCs to pay for a $3000 POR reservation! I can just see the poor desk clerk's eyes popping out of their head when I hand them 600 cards.

You would need 60, not 600 cards. It would save you $150.00.

Jeez!! I have a master's degree in Computer Engineering and can't do basic math !! Still, I can't see trying to use 60 cards to pay for my rez. Still, might be a great way to give my kid's spending money.

I had no idea about the Target debit limit...that's wild. I have a regular red card visa but it's got such a small limit that it's not much better. It would take me multiple trips to even purchase all the gift cards it would take me to pay off a 4000.00 trip LOL I just use my rewards visa and then use the rewards to cash in for gift cards and stuff. It isn't 5% probably....but still.

Still getting Target Red Card 5% off Disney gift cards as of 8/14. [just FYI since there has been talk of Target changing policy.]
Also, just about a week after my debit card limit snafu, I was able to buy over $300 [$300 gc + other items] in one transaction, then did another $200 in gcs right after, just to see if it worked; it did. Apparently they already raised my limit, or perhaps you can use multiple transactions to circumvent the $300 early use limit? [multi transactions would even work with Rx 5% stacking since it's an all-day coupon.]

I think giving your kids spending money is a FABULOUS idea, that would teach them a lot of responsibility with having their own money to spend at the parks. Good parenting. :)

I've not stayed onsite at Disney before, but we have done a number of Disney cruises, and for those you can log on to your reservation and apply payment as you approach your PIF date...one option is to use the Disney gift cards. Is there not a similar option to do this for a WDW reservation? (That would allow you to enter it vs. asking a cast member to do it!) I definitely plan on purchasing Disney gift cards at Target when I get one of the 5% pharmacy coupons and can stack it with my Target CC discount. It will potentially save us about $500 on our vacation, so to us it's worth it!

I have been told that you need to hold on to the gift cards, though, in the event that you cancel and receive a refund, as it will go back on the gift cards. As a matter of fact, some people say that you even need to number the gift cards as you enter them so you will know which gift card a refund will go back to, since it apparently goes on the last one used first, then the next to last, etc. if that makes sense.

I gave up teaching my kids responsability a long time ago. now get off this board and go clean your room! (By the way, your contdown on your signature is wrong!)
