well now we have another decision! We can stay 5 nights at the ASMo or 3 nights Poly. The cost difference is about the same because of the 5 day hopper vs. the 3 day single park.
I'm leaning towards the Poly because we just went to Disneyland in March and don't feel the extreme desire to become disney enveloped(sp?) anyway, I also factored in the two days less food costs. Am I being fair or should I rethink this another way. Ya'll helped me so much before and I am looking forward to your great input.

No contest! 5 days ASMo! Three days is not nearly enough time at WDW....You can always do what I did, start planning/saving earlier for your next/longer deluxe stay. My DGD and I stayed at ASMu last April and loved it!

Its a no-brainer! 5 days as opposed to 3?......I dont see where there is any question :) Give me 5 days at AllStar anytime,,,its a great resort and who spends much time in the room anyway? My teens really enjoyed it there. Mae

I really have to disagree!!!!!!

We live in sotuh FL and my DH doesn't get ANY sick or vacation days, so any days he takes off, we lose the money for. We usually only go for 2 or 3 nights.

We did the ASMo in Jan and it was great. We loved it!!!!
But , I would stay at the Poly for 3 nights over 5 nights at the movies any day!

If you do bounce back passes (for 3 days) that will be cheaper than LOS, if you don't want to do any water parks, etc. and you don't care about park hopping. You can still take breaks (with the ease of the monorail!), but just go back to that same park in the evening. You can also just do 2 park days if you want and spend another day at the resort and DD or something! Just think of all the dining options and character meals that are right at the Poly or just a monorail ride away! And the new volcano pool! The electrical water pageant at night and seeing the fireworks from he beach! If you are up for just a few days of relaxation and pampering, I would do the Poly. If you want to do parks constantly, then I would choose the ASMo!

12 days till CBR!!!!!!

I would go with the 5 nights,no question!

3 days is just so little time for anything! It's hard to relax with that little amount of time.UIf doing 5 days of parks isn't important to you, maybe stick with a 3 day pass so it leaves you with a couple days for lounging, shopping or whatever.

5 nights, definitely!

We used to drive through the night from New Jersey and stay in our 8x10 foot tent, sleeping on air mattresses on the ground, at Fort Wilderness so that we could stay twice as long! We would stay 12 - 14 nights. Sure, we were kind of uncomfortable in that tent, but we were at Disney World!

I'm a little too old and stiff now to sleep on the ground, but if I could, I'd do it again to lengthen my stay! This year, we could afford the deluxes, but I get enough extra nights at PO Riverside that I didn't even consider it!

As much as I love the Poly, I would definitely have to go for 5 nights at ASMO.

Wow,
Thanks for all the input. That was really great. It seems 5 nights wins hands down. I really want to experience a monorail resort. Maybe I can do both. I'll look into it. And report back. Again, you are all so great!

:p

I would go for 5 nights at the ASMo for sure! We stayed at Poly for the 1st time in Nov. and were not that impressed. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but it seems to be showing it's age. Give me more time any day!!!
