5 months in the Most Magical Place on Earth...my College Program TR

Loving this trip report! :lovestruc

Thanks for giving us the inside scoop and for working so hard to fill your report with pictures.

I'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear more in the days ahead!

Of course! I'm glad you are enjoying. It's been a lot of fun so far to go back and "re-live" the experience :goodvibes

Aw man, I'm at the end already! I'm loving it so far! DW and I have vowed that at some point in our lives we are definitely going to work at Walt Disney World somewhere! :goodvibes Can't wait to read more!

You definitely should! Working at CRT was my favorite job BY FAR. Even though I like my job now...nothing will ever compare :rotfl:

Oh my goodness, this is like a dream come true! Thank you for sharing this with all of us future CP dreamers. I can't wait to read all about it.

You're welcome! I loved your most recent TR!!

Joining in! So glad that you're sharing your experience. I'm way past my college days, but I find the "behind the scenes" stuff truly fascinating! Can't wait to read more...:goodvibes

So glad you are enjoying it! Hope to have some more "behind the scenes" stuff coming up for you soon! :cool1:

I keep meaning to comment, but I keep forgetting. I am loving your TR and all the behind the scenes info. My friend did the CP and was a Jungle Cruise skipper and he kept telling us how much he loved it. I wish I had known about it when I was in college!

How fun! Jungle Cruise skipper is definitely a coveted role amongst attractions people. I just hopped over to your TR this morning and I have to say your daughter is ADORABLE. Loved how she isn't shy with the characters at all :goodvibes You should bring her to CRT next time :thumbsup2

Loving this trip report/CP report. I am 18, a senior in high school, and have been dreaming about the CP for so long. I can't wait to apply. I'm not sure when I should apply, but I know I'm so excited.

this is really interesting! I had a friend who did the cp in 1998 I think it was and I visited her down there. she was on the great movie ride. :) Did you keep serious journals/diaries to be able to recall everything from 5 months down there? can't wait to read more!

I LOVE your trip report! So FUN! Thanks for sharing.... can't wait to read more! :yay:

OMG this has to be the BEST CP report I have seen on dis :thumbsup2 My daughter is contemplating the CP program and I am saving this one for her to read. What a wonderful experience while having the time of your life in such a fun place! Keep up the good work and good luck on your future endeavors!

I have enjoyed reading your report so far. My daughter is interested in doing this when she gets older. All of your information is Great!!

This is why I hate starting a TR before it's done. You people have the audacity to actually have lives and not post updates every 10 minutes to appease me. How rude! :p

She's at Disney right now...the lucky gal!

We had Breakfast at CRT and it was to DIE for! I had the stuffed french toast!!:cloud9: That fruit syrup was DELISH! I could have eaten a bowlful of THAT!

Love your costume! You look so cute!

That's great! I hope that you can find a time to do the CP sooner in your college career rather than later...less time away from the mouse! :rotfl:

How fun! I actually didn't keep a journal but took TONS of pictures so I have just been looking back at the pictures and they trigger my memory enough. It really feels like it was yesterday :goodvibes

How great :) I really can't stress it enough...if you even have the slightest interest in the program make sure you find a way to do it! Such a great opportunity!

:rotfl: This is how I ALWAYS feel when reading other TRs! I am now back from WDW so I will be trying to post more frequently :cool1:

Ahaha I agree. I must have no life or they have too much of one. I am always like come on update already....Its like a novel I can't put down.

Update already

I feel your pain :lmao: I will have another update for you all tomorrow!!!
She's at Disney right now...the lucky gal!

Yep! Just back from 4 glorious days at WDW (really, are there any other kind?!) Already can't wait to get back...but SO excited for my brother!!

I consider this an acceptable excuse for not updating her TR. As long as she gives a TR for this trip too! :thumbsup2

We took LOTS of pictures and even carried around a notebook with us to write down all the details of the trip!! I'll be co-writing the TR with my friend Lisa so keep an eye out for that :thumbsup2

She already started a PTR for it, if you look at her signature... :goodvibes

:goodvibes Can't wait to get the actual TR going!!

We had Breakfast at CRT and it was to DIE for! I had the stuffed french toast!!:cloud9: That fruit syrup was DELISH! I could have eaten a bowlful of THAT!

Love your costume! You look so cute!

OMG yea...that french toast was so so good. While I usually preferred working nights because it was when the majority of my CRT friends would be working, I secretly loved when I would get scheduled a Sunday morning because the chefs almost always fed us after breakfast. I usually skipped the eggs/bacon/potatoes and went straight for the french toast :lovestruc

And thanks! The costume really wasn't bad...especially compared to some others at Disney :rotfl2:

Just got caught up. What a cute costume! One of the things I've learned from your amazing TR is how many cast members are probably doing the CP. I never realized before that Disney had such a large CP group as part of their cast. We've had breakfast and lunch at CRT and loved both. The stars in my little granddaughters' eyes (all 3 of them!) was worth every penny. I probably would have teared up when I walked in the dining room the first day if I were you. It's just so beautiful! :goodvibes How great for you that you get to sample all the food!! I really want that job!!!:rotfl: I've always wondered about the costumes......how many you get, who launders them, etc. Thanks for answering all those burning questions!:rotfl2:

Hi! This is such a fun TR. It is so neat to see what it's like to be in the CP!! And I have to add, how exciting to be working at CRT!! It's such a lovely restaurant. We have been there for dinner our past few trips.

I like your TR. It is helping me for my school project. Thank you for answering all of the report quests I sent you.:wizard:

This is me, Sierra (can you guess my costume)

I am starting my power point today. Thank you for all the help and I can not wait for updates. :dance3:

I graduated from a 4 year college last May (2011) and I'm interested in possibly doing the Disney College Program so this info is greatly appreciated. I have a few questions though that maybe someone can answer. Since I already graduated like spiroff.natasha I'm looking into just taking an online course at my local community college.

My main question is does the course have to be for credit or can it just be a continuing education course where no credit is offered for the course?
